The NFL is planning to play its AFC title game at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta next weekend if the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs both qualify for the game.

UFC 283 started off on a high note, as Johnny Walker wasted no time in knocking out Paul Craig.
The TKO occurred only 136 seconds into the fight. Walker (20-7) caught Craig (16-6-1) with a strike to the face, then capitalized with a flurry of shots to Craig, who was on his knees. There was no other option but to call the fight, which is exactly what happened.

Patrick Mahomes had the kind of injury to his left ankle that would leave most of us looking for crutches and a bottle of pills. Mahomes did not even want an X-ray. He said afterward that “it’s all in God’s hands,” and because he was in pain, I will forgive him for referring to himself in the third person.

Giants linebacker Jarrad Davis was called for unnecessary roughness against the Eagles on Saturday night. The call was pretty negligible in the grand scheme of things, but it was questionable nonetheless.
Philadelphia had the ball on 2nd-and-8 at the New York 10(ish)-yard-line, late in the second quarter. It held a 21-0 lead and a touchdown would have made it a four-possession game.
That is ultimately what ended up playing out. The Eagles went up 28-0 at halftime with help from what was called a late hit.

Well, Joey Bosa got slapped with a massive fine. But let’s not pretend we didn’t see this coming.
The NFL fined the Los Angeles Chargers linebacker $55,456 for unsportsmanlike conduct and his harsh criticism of the officials after last week’s 31-30 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Chargers were up 27-0 on the Jags but blew the lead, and their loss eliminated them from the playoffs. The Jaguars comeback was largely aided by Bosa’s unsportsmanlike conduct penalty late in the game.

Playoff games during Wild Card weekend were exciting and engaging. The first game of the Divisional Round created some drama as Patrick Mahomes’ injury kept him out for part of the first half and limited him enough to keep the game close.
Saturday night’s NFC East matchup has failed to live up to the excitement of other postseason games so far this year.
