The Ed Reed era at Bethune-Cookman barely outlasted the Bill Belichick tenure with the New York Jets.
In a stunning (but not really?) turn of events, Reed is apparently OUT at the Daytona Beach-based HBCU mere weeks after becoming the program’s next head football coach.
Reed himself confirmed the news in one of the most wild exit interviews you’ll ever see.
The former Miami Hurricane legend and NFL Hall of Famer took to Instagram Saturday morning and posted a live 15-minute video of himself addressing the team.
Georgetown’s Akok Akok showed his skills by throwing down a reverse dunk against Xavier.
For the third year in a row, the quarterback’s future in Green Bay remains unclear.
For the third straight year, the future of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers remains unclear and in particular, his future in Green Bay seems to be up in the air. In fact, the latest report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter suggests that two-time reigning MVP may be at the center of trade talks again this offseason.
Georgetown Hoyas’ Akok Akok made a massive block against Xavier Musketeers’ Zach Freemantle.
The legendary defensive back attracted criticism earlier this month for saying HBCUs have “broken mentalities.”
The Ed Reed era at Bethune-Cookman appears to be over before it started.
The Wildcats will not ratify a contract to hire the Hall of Fame defensive back as head coach, according to a Saturday morning announcement from Reed.
“After weeks of negotiations I’ve been informed that the university won’t be ratifying my contract and won’t make good on the agreement we had in principle,” Reed said in a statement.
The weather could come into play during the AFC divisional round matchup.
As the Chiefs prepare to host the Jaguars on Saturday, the weather could come into play. Kansas City is expected to get precipitation throughout the day, either rain or snow depending on how cold it is come kickoff.
The Jaguars aren’t used to cold weather, playing in the AFC South and being based in Florida, but they did play in Kansas City earlier in the year. That matchup was a 1 p.m. ET game that had sunny skies without any precipitation, and ended with a Chiefs 27-17 win.
A terrible story as a San Francisco State University student went missing on Thursday after participating in a ‘polar plunge’ off of Esplanade Beach in Pacifica, California.
22-year-old Hamzah Alsaudi, who is also part of the school’s wrestling program, was hit by a large wave while participating in the plunge with friends.
The wave crashed on Alsaudi before pulling him underneath the water. Immediately his friends tried to locate him to no avail before onlookers called 911.

The high school senior is expected to make his final decision in the coming weeks.
Hours after Luca Evans of the Los Angeles Times reported that Bronny James had narrowed down his college choices to a final three, the high school senior sent a clear message about his current standing.
According to the report, James is expected to choose between Ohio State, USC and Oregon. It’s believed that he will make a decision following Sierra Canyon’s basketball season, which will end sometime in late February or early March.
