The Giants are reportedly poised to add one of the premier tacklers in the NFL after agreeing to terms on a contract with free agent and former Colts standout linebacker Bobby Okereke on Monday.
New York and Okereke, 26, reportedly agreed to terms on a four-year, $40 million contract that will include $22 million in guaranteed money, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The lucrative deal is expected to become official when the new league year begins on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.

Jim Fullan is more than twice the age of his college baseball teammates and he’s only a freshman! The 56-year-old enrolled at Montgomery County Community College in the fall and picked up a bat this spring.
Fullan, a grandfather to nine, moved from Long Island to Pennsylvania as a kid and was cut from his high school baseball team in the 1980s. With his MLB dreams behind him, he joined the U.S. Army out of high school and spent 36 years working for the United States Postal Service.

Former Eagles offensive tackle Andre Dillard is set to become the latest player to leave the franchise this offseason. According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, Dillard is in agreement on a three-year, $29 million contract with the Titans.

Unfortunately, Monday was a bit of a headache for Mets outfielder Starling Marte.
The two-time All-Star took a nasty pitch to the head Sunday during a spring training matchup between New York and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Elvin Rodriguez connected with Marte on a 93 MPH fastball, which drew gasps from the crowds. Thankfully, Marte didn’t require assistance off home plate and left the field under his own strength.

Joe Pepitone, a former three-time all star and three-time gold glove winner with the Yankees, has died at the age of 82, the team announced on Monday.
“The Yankees are deeply saddened by the passing of former Yankee Joe Pepitone, whose playful and charismatic personality and on-field contributions made him a favorite of Yankees fans even beyond this years with the team in the 1960s,” the team wrote in a statement.
