WrestleMania 39 opened with a very entertaining first night.
All eyes remain on night two, but there were plenty of highlights from the Saturday show, including Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens winning the WWE tag team titles.
Rhea Ripley defeated Charlotte Flair in a hard-hitting clash, and Seth Rollins brought the absolute best out of Logan Paul.
The night was not perfect. An easy opening match was complicated when JohnCena lost to Austin Theory. That match featured a deflating, overused finish, especially disappointing considering that Cena rarely wrestles.
Things get pretty intense in college baseball, and Saturday’s Alabama vs. Arkansas game was another example.
After Alabama took the first game of the series in Fayetteville against the Razorbacks, the Tide were looking to win the series on Saturday. Arkansas homered three different times, leading to the 9-6 win at Baum-Walker Stadium.
But it was during the seventh inning where things got heated. Alabama coach Brad Bohannon was ejected from the game after arguing with the home-plate umpire.

Saturday gifted us with one of the greatest Final Four moments of all-time.
Final tournament recap of the year. Can’t hold anything back.
Best game
(5) Florida Atlantic 72, (9) San Diego State 71
In the five days leading up to this year’s Final Four, there was plenty of talk about lack of national interest, potential poor play on the court in Houston, and the likelihood of “record low TV ratings.”
That talk wasn’t spawned by the presence of four-time national champion Connecticut.
Playmaking Tulane RB Tyjae Spears can be a 2023 NFL Draft steal
The 2023 NFL Draft running back class is loaded. It features one of the better backfield prospects we’ve seen in recent memory in Texas’ Brian Robinson. Behind him includes prospects from the first three rounds in Alabama’s Jahmyr Gibbs, UCLA’s Zach Charbonnet and Texas A&M’s Devon Achane, among others. The least discussed of that group though, and one of the more underrated prospects in this class, is Tulane back Tyjae Spears.
Caitlin Clark is a much more prolific scorer than the entire Iowa football program.
Clark and Iowa will play LSU this afternoon for the women’s national title, and it certainly feels like the biggest women’s national title in memory.
One stat certainly seems to be sticking out more than the rest, and it’s getting viral attention. Clark in eight postseason games has outscored Iowa’s entire football team from the 2022 season.
She’s hung 235 points on opponents over the last eight games. Iowa’s football team scored 230 over 13 games this past season.

A red flag with just a few laps remaining set the stage for a chaotic finish to the Australian Grand Prix
It looked like the Australian Grand Prix was winding down to an almost lazy finish. With under five laps remaining, Max Verstappen was running well ahead of Lewis Hamilton, and Fernando Alonso.
Then, the game changed.
Kevin Magnussen of Haas left his car a bit wide on Lap 54, and his right rear tyre struck the wall. The tyre bounced off the car, and debris flew all over the track in Melbourne.
The men’s national championship game is set! UConn, the tournament’s most dominant team to date, rolled past Miami by 13 points for a fifth straight win by double figures, while San Diego State stunned FAU on Lamont Butler’s buzzer-beating jumper to complete a 14-point rally. That sets the stage for Monday night’s title game, a matchup that feels far more like David vs. Goliath than the teams’ seeds would indicate.
UConn is back in the national championship, having taken down Miami in the Final Four to continue their dominant run during the NCAA tournament.
Head coach Dan Hurley kept it real with his team after the win, telling the Huskies in the locker room that he wasn’t surprised they were headed to the title game. In fact, in the eyes of Hurley, this game was never in any doubt.
“I’m not that excited fellas. Really, to be honest with you, because we knew we were going to be playing on Monday,” said Hurley to a round of applause from the team.
Sports Twitter had plenty to say about the matchup.
