After a long summer of transfer rumors, U.S. men’s national team fullback Sergiño Dest has completed a move to PSV Eindhoven from Barcelona. 
The 22-year-old joins on a season-long loan with an option available to the Dutch side to make the move permanent for €11 million (approximately $12 million).
Since joining Barcelona in a €20 million move from Dutch giants Ajax in 2020, Dest went on to make 72 appearances. But last year, the fullback fell out of favor under manager Xavi and was sent on loan to AC Milan, where he appeared in only eight league matches.

Viktor Hovland and Matt Fitzpatrick are tight. The Englishman’s reaction to the Norwegian’s BMW Championship win was priceless.
Matt Fitzpatrick was in contention on Sunday at the BMW Championship until Viktor Hovland went nuclear and destroyed the whole field. He carded a 61 to beat the Olympia Fields course record set by Max Homa and Sam Burns earlier in the week.
Fitzpatrick played in the final group with Scottie Scheffler, and while it wasn’t his best day, the Englishman respected what happened on the golf course.

ESPN has announced the roster for its new Monday Night Countdown crew, and longtime SportsCenter anchor Scott Van Pelt will be joining the broadcast. The network made the announcement ahead of its first broadcast of the season, Monday’s preseason game between the Ravens and Commanders.
Besides having Van Pelt serve as host for Monday Night Countdown, ESPN announced that it has agreed to a multiyear contract extension with Van Pelt, who joined the network in 2001.
