The 2025 Championships at Wimbledon are in fully swing at the All England Club, where there have already been a number of eye-catching results thanks to an interesting opening week.
Yet Novak Djokovic, a seven-time champion, has largely avoided drama in storming into the fourth round.
Although the Serb suffered from some stomach issues in his first-round tie with Alexandre Muller, he came through that test, before looking imperious in dismissing British hope Dan Evans.

Ben Shelton has punched his ticket into the fourth round of Wimbledon without having dropped a single set in his opening three matches, and he’s making sure he’s thanking the right people during his dominant run at the Grand Slam.
After making quick work of Hungarian Marton Fucsovics on Saturday, Shelton took a moment during his on-court interview to give a shoutout to his girlfriend, U.S. women’s soccer player Trinity Rodman, as well as his family members who made the trip across the pond, specifically his sister.

At the MLB trade deadline, the Detroit Tigers are expected to pursue a new starting third baseman. Jace Jung and company haven’t been great for Detroit, and with the team sitting atop the American League, this is the time to buy.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Tigers are among a few teams expressing interest in a former Gold Glove third baseman who’s on a massive contract.
“The Yankees, along with the Detroit Tigers and Chicago Cubs,” Nightengale writes, “Have also expressed interest in Pirates third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes.
The Chicago Cubs have specific needs to be addressed before the trade deadline on July 31.
The biggest priority for the Cubs is starting pitching but adding one or two relievers wouldn’t be a bad idea.
As it stands right now, the best starting pitcher available that has been linked to the Cubs is Pittsburgh Pirates former All-Star Mitch Keller.
Keller, 29, is 3-10 with a 3.64 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP in 18 starts this season. Don’t let the record fool you, the Pirates don’t give their pitchers run support often.
Deandre Ayton, the Los Angeles Lakers‘ most recent get in free agency, has the ability to greatly raise their ceiling all by himself. The No. 1 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, he has career averages of 16.4 points and 10.5 rebounds a game, and he should be a great rim-running lob threat alongside Luka Doncic and Lebron James.
But he hasn’t lived up to his potential, especially on the defensive end. In general, defense seems to be the big question mark for the Lakers, especially after they lost 3-and-D forward Dorian Finney-Smith to the Houston Rockets just days ago.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Tampa Bay Rays recalled right-hander Joe Boyle from Triple-A Durham on Sunday before the finale of their three-game series against Minnesota.
The 25-year-old Boyle, acquired in a trade with the Athletics during the offseason, is 6-4 with a 1.85 ERA in 73 innings with 96 strikeouts with Durham. He made an early season start for Tampa Bay and worked five no-hit innings in an 8-3 win over Atlanta on April 13. He walked two, allowed two earned runs and struck out seven.
He is 6-6 with a 4.85 ERA in 17 career MLB games with 78 strikeouts in 68 2/3 innings.
The Los Angeles Lakers have made plenty of history in their long time as an organization.
They had never been a part of a seven-team trade, though.
Until Sunday.
The seven-team deal centered around Kevin Durant’s movement from the Phoenix Suns to the Houston Rockets went through on Sunday afternoon, after the league’s moratorium period ended.
The Lakers weren’t a big piece of the action, but they were involved, and so they’ll always be at least a footnote on this gigantic exchange.

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri finished second at the F1 British Grand Prix, but believes he ‘deserved’ more
In the early stages of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix Oscar Piastri was running at the front, having parlayed a P2 start into a lead ahead of Max Verstappen and McLaren teammate Lando Norris.
But as the grid rolled around Silverstone under a Safety Car due to wet conditions in the first half of the Grand Prix, Piastri braked between Turns 14 and 15.
