Former MLB shortstop Rafael Furcal was arrested Wednesday in South Florida, according to the Associated Press.
The three-time All-Star reportedly turned himself in at Broward County jail on a warrant issued Monday and was quickly released on bond. He faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and throwing a missile into public or private dwelling.
To be very clear, “missile” in this case means “a stone or other hard substance which would produce death or great bodily harm,” per the Florida legislature’s website.

When it comes to elite tight ends in the 2026 recruiting class, the Oregon Ducks are currently sitting pretty, with a commitment from 5-star Kendre Harrison, the No. 2 ranked TE in the class.
They don’t appear to be satisfied, though.
While Harrison is an elite player, Dan Lanning and his staff are continuing to push for more, recruiting 5-star TE Mark Bowman hard over the past few months. Bowman is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 16 overall player in the 2026 class, and the No. 1 TE in the nation.

Otega Oweh is one of several college basketball players facing a pivotal decision this spring: stay in the 2025 NBA Draft or return to school. While the 6-foot-4 guard has kept the door open for both options, the momentum appears to be shifting toward a return to Kentucky for his senior season.
