Miami Dolphins first-round draft pick Kenneth Grant is setting some lofty goals for himself in the NFL.
In his first interview with Dolphins reporters, the 331-pound defensive tackle said he’s hoping to win an award that only three Miami players have ever earned.
“I want to accomplish the (Walter Payton NFL) Man of the Year Award,” Grant said Thursday night, not long after he became the No. 13 overall pick.
The New York Jets are downplaying anything regarding running back Breece Hall for now.
During his press conference following Day 1 of the 2025 NFL draft, general manager Darren Mougey discussed more than his team’s first-round pick in Armand Membou. He addressed trade rumors surrounding Hall.
According to a report prior to the draft, the Jets reportedly had discussed the idea of trading Hall with other team. Mougey said that’s not the case.
Mougey’s full response on Hall can be found below:
“I haven’t had any talks with any teams about Breece Hall.
The 2025 NFL draft will roll on with Day 2 on Friday from Green Bay.
The Buffalo Bills got things started with Maxwell Hairston. The cornerback from Kentucky was the team’s first-round selection at No. 30 overall.
Heading into the second day, Buffalo has nine more picks to work with.
Ryan Clark, Dan Graziano, Peter Schrager and Do
Five, four and two. That’s how many INTs, kickoffs and punts McCool’s Ryland Garretson (11) returned for TDs. I’m not making this stuff up.@HuskerlandBob
Class C-1
19. Alex Evans, L-DL, Columbus Scotus, Soph. 6-4, 265. Other stats NA. Cleary the boy has the physical stature to make himself a name and it seems as though the game is catching up to him, making him a distinct breakthrough candidate. Let’s just leave it at that for now.
Class C-2
19. Kyler Hellbusch, QB-DB, North Bend Central, Jr. 6-0, 190. Other stats NA.
A fairly dull first round of Thursday night’s NFL Draft got some late juice courtesy of Philadelphia’s newest Eagle, Jihaad Campbell. After just one blockbuster trade (thank you, Cleveland – Jacksonville) and hours of Shedeur Sanders speculation, Philly traded up one spot in the first round with Kansas City (from 32 to 31) to snag Campbell.
In doing so, the reigning Super Bowl champs didn’t just land a linebacker from Alabama. They also snagged themselves some entertainment.
Side note – how about K.C.

Which teams knocked it out of the park in round 1?
The first round of the 2025 NFL Draft was as eventful as people expected. A trade rocked the NFL within the top five, two QBs went (though not the ones you expected) and the run on linemen was hot and heavy. However, a few teams stood out above the rest, making really nice moves that instantly raise the ceiling of their team. Here are my favorite picks from Round 1 of the NFL Draft.
