Scottie Scheffler is a U.S. Open victory away from completing the career grand slam after hoisting the Claret Jug at Royal Portrush, but his Open Championship win did complete the slam for his manager, Blake Smith, who was quick to make a tongue-in-cheek comment about Rory McIlroy during the celebration.
During the media circus that followed Scheffler’s four-shot victory in Northern Ireland, the R&A shared a behind-the-scenes video of everything that took place after the final putt of The Open.

Despite winning 19 games over the previous two seasons, the Seattle Seahawks missed the postseason in both 2023 and 2024. Before that, they suffered two wild-card round defeats at the hands of division rivals, losing to the Los Angeles Rams in 2020, and San Francisco 49ers in 2022. The Seahawks will enter 2025 attempting to put those disappointments behind them.

Kansas City Chiefs offensive guard Trey Smith signed a $94 million extension with a $70 million guarantee last week on the July 15th deadline. The new extension replaced the franchise tag he signed at the start of the offseason.
During Tuesday’s press conference, Smith labeled the initial tagging as ‘a tremendous honor’ and provided a teary-eyed response about becoming the league’s highest-paid offensive guard.
“I lost my mom when I was 15. I made two promises to her: That I would get my degree and play in the NFL,” said an emotional Smith at the podium.
