Prolific Essex seamer Sam Cook will sit out this week’s county action as he nears a maiden England call-up for the Test against Zimbabwe next month.
Cook, 27, has an extraordinary domestic record for Essex of 301 wickets at an average of 18.3 but has never been rewarded with an England call.
Teams that need a running back might take a look at free-agent Nick Chubb, who looks to be progressing well after that gruesome injury he suffered during the 2023 season. One year later, the former Cleveland Browns running back is still on the unemployment line following his shortened season last year.
The Browns could use Chubb based on how the current depth chart looks, with Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. the only two listed on most projected lists. Chubb is two years removed from four-straight campaigns of 1,000+ yards rushing and eight or more rushing touchdowns.
Ken Griffey Jr. has picked up photography in recent years as a bit of a side hustle. Already in 2025, the Baseball Hall of Famer worked as a credential photographer for the Los Angeles Dodgers – Chicago Cubs series in Japan, and then took his talents to Augusta National to snap shots during one of the most electric Masters of all time.
