Miguel Cabrera took advantage of the perfect opportunity to troll José Ramírez on Sunday as the Tigers star made a hilarious callback to the Guardians third baseman’s now-infamous scuffle with White Sox veteran Tim Anderson.
With the 12-time All-Star set to retire at the end of the season, Cabrera has spent the year accepting different mementos from opposing teams on the Tigers’ various stops. The celebratory honors continued in Cleveland, with the Guardians gifting Cabrera a commemorative guitar prior to his last game at Progressive Field.

Last month, Carlos Alcaraz upset Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final to capture his second Grand Slam title. The 20-year-old Alcaraz is a rising young star in the sport of tennis and the current No. 1 player in the World in ATP rankings.
In the final tune-up prior to the US Open, many of the best players in tennis headed to Cincinnati for the 2023 Western & Southern Open (also known as the Cincinnati Open or Cincinnati Masters).
The two players that made their way to the final were, of course, Alcaraz and Djokovic.
The New Orleans Saints will be glad to return to the 100-degree temperatures and 80% humidity of home after their treacherous “2 Days (Plus) In The Valley.”
The Saints can tell some neo noir stories of their own in comparison to the 1996 cult film set in Los Angeles.
Actually, this one would be “5 Days In The Valley.”
Despite all the plague-like events – everything but locusts and fire – the Saints led the Chargers 13-10 at the half Sunday night at SoFi Stadium in the L.A.
The Yankees suffered their eight consecutive loss on Sunday, falling to the rival Red Sox to cement the franchise’s worst losing streak since 1995.
After the game, which capped off a series sweep for Boston, New York manager Aaron Boone made a brutally honest admission on the state of this year’s AL East rivalry matchup.
Speaking to reporters, Boone admitted the Red Sox have had the upper hand on the Yankees and didn’t mince his words.
“They’ve kicked our ass,” said Boone, via Brendan Kuty.
The New York Jets traded for future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers this offseason. Many questioned if it was worth it since Rodgers career might be nearing its end. Plus, the Jets drafted Zach Wilson No. 2 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft.
But all along, Rodgers has stated his desire is to play more than one year in New York. Which made it unclear what the Jets plans are for Wilson. The team stated that it did not want to trade him and didn’t. For now, he’s going to backup Aaron Rodgers this season.
And if Rodgers gets his way, it’ll stay that way for several seasons.
Though slightly more common than no-hitters, cycles do not come around all that often.
All-time great hitters like Willie Mays and Pete Rose never accomplished the feat. On the other hand, Diamondbacks second baseman Aaron Hill hit for the cycle twice in 2012 alone. It’s hit or miss, dependent on a player exploding on one particular day.
Orioles designated hitter Gunnar Henderson had almost all the ingredients for a cycle against the Athletics Sunday, doubling, tripling and homering as Baltimore dominated Oakland.

McIlroy knows what kind of teammate Viktor Hovland will be in Rome for the Ryder Cup after his impressive BMW Championship victory.

The former Oklahoma State Cowboy shot a final-round 61 to finish with the course record at Olympia Fields. He made 10 birdies, including seven on the back nine to incredibly card eight 3s.
“He just keeps his foot on the pedal — just isn’t scared,” McIlroy said.
