The top MLB free agent has found a new landing spot, and it’s the two-time defending champions. After one season with the Chicago Cubs, outfielder Kyle Tucker has agreed to a deal with the Dodgers, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
The Cubs extended a qualifying offer to Tucker in early November, which he declined. As a result, Chicago will receive draft-pick compensation for the outfielder.

The Mets have swung and missed on star free agent outfielder Kyle Tucker, who is signing with the Dodgers.
With Tucker now in tow, Los Angeles will likely have four MVP candidates hitting consecutively in their lineup — Tucker, Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman. 
In addition to the Mets and Dodgers, the Blue Jays had been heavily connected to Tucker.
The Mets had reportedly extended a four-year offer to Tucker worth roughly $50 million annually. 
Tucker, who turns 29 years old later this week, was the biggest name available in this year’s free agent class.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Sidney Crosby scored one of Pittsburgh’s three power-play goals and the Penguins beat the Philadelphia Flyers 6-3 on Thursday night.
Crosby also had an assist to become the eighth player in NHL history with at least 19 50-point seasons. Crosby, who reached 50 for the sixth consecutive season, has points in 29 of his last 34 games against the Flyers.
Justin Brazeau and Bryan Rust also scored power-play goals for Pittsburgh, which has nine with the man advantage in its last 12 games.

This game looked like it was defense-optional in the opening frame, but it turned into a blow-for-blow heavyweight battle by the end. The Huskers fell to 14-4 (3-4 in the Big Ten) and Michigan State improved to 18-1 (6-1 in the Big Ten). Nebraska was lead by Amiah Hargrove and Britt Prince in scoring with 21 and 16 points respectively. The stats tell of a game that was extremely even, but the one number that stood out is paint points. The Spartans scored 46 compared to Nebraska’s 34.
