Jacob Misiorowski made just the third start of his Major League Baseball career on Wednesday, and he’s already looked so unhittable through the first two that his outings have become must-see TV.
Wednesday’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates though, beyond featuring Misiorowski, also showcased arguably the best pitcher in baseball, Paul Skenes. Skenes-Misiorowski, quickly one of the most highly anticipated matchups of the first half of the season. And somewhat surprisingly, round one of this division rivalry went to Misiorowski and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Major League Baseball has banned a Chicago White Sox fan who mockingly berated Arizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte over the passing of his mother. According to ESPN’s Jesse Rogers, the fan has been “indefinitely” banned from all MLB ballparks moving forward.
The ban has brought about some divisiveness among social media baseball fans.

LAS VEGAS – Joshua Van feels a UFC title shot is within reach.
Taking a short-notice fight against former title challenger Brandon Royval, Van (13-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) thinks a win at Saturday’s UFC 317 will put him next in line to fight for the flyweight championship. Van believes his four fight winning streak plus a statement win over Royval (17-7 MMA, 7-3 UFC) would be enough to get the job done.
“After I beat him, I’m going to get the title for sure,” Van said at Wednesday’s UFC 317 media day.
