Nobody has mastered mediocrity like the Leafs,
Another year full of promise ending in devastation: such is the legacy of the Toronto Maple Leafs. On Sunday evening the Leafs laid their final egg of the 2024-25 season in front of a sold out Toronto crowd as they fell 6-1 to the Florida Panthers, ending their season in the second round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Puka Nacua’s basketball reputation is growing.
Former NFL linebacker and current NFL Network analyst Manti Te’o said he would pick Nacua as his partner in a hypothetical 2-on-2 basketball game versus Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and NBA legend Allen Iverson.
“This guy did score a lot of points in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game,” Te’o said. “If you’ve ever watched Puka Nacua play basketball, the uso can ball.”
(For reference, “uso” is a Samoan word meaning “brother.” Te’o and Nacua are Samoan).

And just like that, we’re halfway through the major championship calendar this year with Scottie Scheffler cruising to a five-shot victory at the PGA Championship for the third major title of his career.
It feels like the entire world has run out of adjectives to use to describe Scheffler’s game and the run he continues to put together over the span of the last two years and counting.

2 Team Penske cars are headed to the back of the grid at the Indianapolis 500
One of the major stories from Sunday’s qualifying sessions at the Indianapolis 500 was Team Penske withdrawing both the No. 2 car of Josef Newgarden and the No. 12 car of Will Power, after technical inspections found a modified attenuator on both cars.
Now, those two entries have been moved to the back of the starting grid for the 109th Indianapolis 500.

The Los Angeles Rams are rife with young talent on both sides of the ball.
The defensive front is full of recent draft picks and the offensive skill position players are all relatively new to the NFL.
As such, two Rams players made Pro Football Focus’ 25 under 25 list for the 2025 NFL season: Wide receiver Puka Nacua and edge rusher Jared Verse. Both have been exceptional in their short NFL careers, as Nacua broke two records as a rookie and Verse won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2024.
Nacua (who will turn 24 this year) finished No.
ESPN has released its 2025 projections, including the projected stat line for Indianapolis Colts’ first-round pick, tight end Tyler Warren.
Mike Clay, who puts these projections together each offseason, has Warren catching 51 of his 75 targets (68%) for 552 yards with three touchdowns. That averages out to 10.8 yards per catch.
For some context, behind Brock Bowers’ massive 2024 rookie season, 552 receiving yards would have been the second-most among first-year tight ends a year ago.
Baltimore has one of the top uniform combinations in the NFL, and if Zay Flowers gets his way, the Purple Rising helmets and jerseys could be a more common fixture. Last off-season, the Ravens announced they would wear their new Purple Rising helmets Thursday night, November 7, when they host the Cincinnati Bengals.
Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reported that the NFL is updating its uniform policy to allow teams to wear throwback or alternate uniforms up to four times per season.
