1. How many analysts would have the guts to call out a league and, in a way, his own network on that network’s pregame show before a playoff game?
One.
Charles Barkley.
Barkley was not happy with a 10:30 p.m. ET start time for the Timberwolves and Nuggets on Sunday night.
Instead of having games at 1 p.m. ET, 3:30 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. ET, the NBA opted for 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. start times for Sunday’s four playoff games.
“I have a problem with that game starting at 10:30,” Barkley said on TNT before Minnesota and Denver tipped off.

The Eagles and quarterback Jalen Hurts have reached agreement on a five-year, $255 million extension, including $179.304 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Steve Maclin is the new face of Impact Wrestling.
Impact crowned a new world champion Sunday night at Rebellion, as Maclin defeated Kushida to claim the vacant title.
Maclin, who is United States Marine Corps veteran Stephen Kupryk, served two tours of Afghanistan during his time in the 2nd Battalion, 8th Marines infantry battalion. Now he is living out a dream that was once the topic of conversation 14 years ago while deployed in Afghanistan’s Helmand Province.
When the NBA playoffs roll around, we’re often asking which players have the most pressure on them or have the most to lose with a disappointing exit. Today, we are daring to ask: Which fan base will be the most upset if their favorite team flames out early? Here are the fans who have the most on the line this postseason, ranked from “Isn’t this lovely?” to “If I see our GM on the street it’s on sight.”
16. Kings
Everything is gravy for Sacramento, which is in the postseason for the first time since 2006.
Jalen Hurts on Monday became the NFL’s highest paid quarterback and, well, that feels kind of stunning.
Because he’s not the NFL’s best quarterback.
The Eagles and Hurts on Monday completed negotiations on a five-year, $255 million extension. The $51 million per season annual average is the highest of any quarterback in the league. And the $179.3 million in guaranteed money is the third-highest guarantee for any player behind only Deshaun Watson and Kyler Murray.
So great job by Hurts. Great job by his agent Nicole Lynn.
The 127th edition of the storied race saw shocking performances and moving tributes.
The 49ers have a different look to their quarterback room with Sam Darnold joining Trey Lance and Brock Purdy at the opening of the team’s offseason program.
For the first time in four weeks, it feels like the golf world can finally take a step back and take a breath. The last month on the PGA Tour felt like a marathon – an enjoyable one, if those exist – and crossing the finish line at the RBC Heritage was the perfect photo finish with Matt Fitzpatrick taking down Jordan Spieth in an epic three-hole playoff.
Speaking of epic, Scottie Scheffler showing some frustration at the expense of a bunker in Hilton Head was interesting to see simply because it proved that he is, in fact, a human.
Outside of Fitzpatrick picking up his second win on U.S.

Jalen Hurts became the highest-paid player in NFL history thanks to what he does inside the pocket
A year ago, the Philadelphia Eagles pulled off a pre-draft trade with the New Orleans Saints, with the Eagles sending New Orleans a pair of 2022 first-round selections (as well as a late-round pick) in exchange for a package of picks including the Saints’ 2023 first-round selection.
At the time, the move was viewed at least in part as a hedge on quarterback Jalen Hurts.
The Lakers’ two-man game was devastating in Game 1, but it was Austin Reaves, not LeBron James, giving the Grizzlies fits in the pick-and-roll.
