Before being traded to the Grizzlies this week, Marcus Smart spent his entire career with the Celtics, starting from when he was drafted with the No. 6 pick in the 2014 draft. In his nine years with Boston, he became a leader on a Celtics team that is one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.
For the first time since the trade, Smart said goodbye to Celtics fans following his nine years in Boston.
“I came to Boston as a naive kid from Dallas not really knowing what to expect,” he wrote on Twitter.

After months of anticipation and build-up, Victor Wembanyama’s long-awaited debut finally appears to be on the horizon following his selection by the Spurs with the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NBA draft. 
Fans eager to see Wembanyama in action were finally given dates to mark on their calendars on Friday after the NBA released its full summer league schedule. The Spurs will participate in two of the three sessions in Sacramento and Las Vegas, with the third session taking place in Salt Lake City.

Transgender boxer Patricio Manuel, a biological female, won another victory recently in a unanimous decision.
Manuel, who’s 37 years old, started competing in 2018 and scored a win over Hugo Aguilar at the time.
This most recent victory for the transgender fighter was over Alex Gutierrez in a four-round super featherweight fight.
Manuel posted on Instagram about the result.
“Picked up another win, got some stitches, hung with some of my people, did the thing I love with sacrifices but not compromises… all in all, 10/10,” Manuel wrote.
