While most NFL positions are seeing salaries increase as a result of players setting the market, that isn’t the case for running backs. The league’s star runners are struggling to successfully find lucrative contracts as teams continue to devalue their position.
One veteran back who remains unsigned is Melvin Gordon, and the 30-year-old still believes he can play. However, while appearing on The Jim Rome Show, Gordon explained the reality of the running back position.
“It’s just so tough for running backs right now,” he said.

The most efficient rushing offense in the NFL lost its leading rusher in the offseason.
After a career year with the Eagles, Miles Sanders signed a lucrative contract to join the Panthers. “[He is] focusing too much on his mechanics,” Mets pitching coach Jeremy Hefner said. “He just needs to get back to who he was, just throwing the baseball.

GG Jackson was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies with the 45th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Based on his outfit, it seems as if the South Carolina product was destined to become a Grizzly.
Jackson didn’t make the trip to Brooklyn to take in the NBA Draft in person as it was a bit of a toss up on whether or not he’d be drafted or go undrafted and sign with a team shortly after. He had his name called during the second round, which gave him the opportunity to show off his baby-blue suit.
