The longtime ESPN personality made a strange connection in regard to the first Super Bowl matchup between Black starting quarterbacks.
Super Bowl LVII presented a historic matchup for several reasons Sunday night, but one of the most relevant story lines leading up to the Big Game was the fact that it was the first NFL championship game to feature two Black starting quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts. While normal, everyday people were just excited to see two great quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts battle it out in the Super Bowl, the race-obsessed media had to make it about the color of their skin.
