The image that danced in the general manager’s head is one you might remember. It happened in the Sunday night window of Week 4 last season on a second-and-goal, with the Chiefs at the Buccaneers’ 2-yard line, the ball on the left hash and 11:35 left in the second quarter. Patrick Mahomes took the snap and rolled right; Tampa Bay DE Pat O’Connor came free to the right side of the Chiefs’ line and shot straight at Mahomes like he came out of a cannon.

1. What a weekend in the world of professional wrestling. WrestleMania took place over two nights at SoFi Stadium, drawing more than 160,000 fans combined. Roman Reigns retained his two titles with a shocking win over last week’s SI Media podcast guest, Cody Rhodes, who was a -550 favorite at one offshore sportsbook. And Endeavor purchased the WWE.
Vince McMahon appeared on CNBC on Monday morning to talk about his company’s sale. There were two bombshells. 
One, he said he will be involved in creative “on a higher level,” but not “in the weeds.

We have plenty to take away from last week’s NFL owners’ meetings …
Fun nugget that I picked up this week—Baker Mayfield was as much in on recruiting the Buccaneers as Tampa Bay was in on recruiting him last month. Early on in the process, I’m told, he showed a strong affinity for the Bucs, and that actually matches right up with what he told me shortly after he signed on March 15.
His process, he explained, started with having some time to take a deep breath after being moved from Cleveland to Carolina to Los Angeles in a six-month span.
