The Commanders are 6-2, and playing as well as any team in the NFL. As we approach the midpoint of the season it’s time to stop looking at Washington as a curiosity, or a fun underdog story and take them seriously as a threat to the vast majority of the NFC, with the potential to go all the way.
Beating the Bears with a Hail Mary on Sunday might not be anything to write home about In isolation, but that’s the thing about what the Commanders are doing. You can’t simple look at anything this organization has done in isolation.

I had zero questions about who Bosa would be voting for, but he confirmed it to the world on Sunday Night Football.
The Cowboys lost to the Niners on Sunday Night Football, but the Niners took an even bigger L after the game when Nick Bosa decided to re-announce to the world that he supports Donald Trump’s re-election for President of the United States.
While teammate Brock Purdy was on the set being interviewed following the game, Bosa walked behind the set, looked into the camera, and pointed to his “Make America Great Again” hat.
Let’s start with the fact that when the ball was snapped on that insane, internet-busting, viral, improbable, amazing Hail Mary by the Washington Commanders Sunday evening, Chicago Bears defensive back Tyrique Stevenson was busy taunting someone in the stands.
Some Washington receivers were already at the Chicago 20-yard line when Stevenson, his back to the offense, finally realized the ball had been snapped on a play the Commanders simply call, “Hail Mary.
