Move over, 1999 St. Louis Rams, there’s a new “Greatest Show on Turf” and it’s the 2024 Detroit Lions. 
After decades of futility, the Lions finally won a playoff game last season, and they’re looking for a lot more this year. 
Detroit went 30 years without a postseason victory before beating the Los Angeles Rams, and former Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, in the Wild Card Round. Then, they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to advance to the NFC Championship. 
The run ended there, though, as they lost to the San Francisco 49ers.

Last week, Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending Achilles injury. After one week, that already looks like a classic case of “addition by subtraction.” 
Backup quarterback Jameis Winston started Sunday afternoon against the Baltimore Ravens, and the Browns stunned one of the league’s best teams with a thrilling 29-24 victory. 
Not only did Cleveland snap a five-game losing streak and score over 20 points for the first time this season, but Winston led the team on a game-winning touchdown drive in the game’s final minute.

The moment that had Miami Dolphins fans most appreciating that Tua Tagovailoa is finally back was a 13-yard scramble in the third quarter that the quarterback finished off with a baseball slide amid a raucous crowd roar.
“I thought that was super cool,” Tagovailoa said. “Super cool. I would think anyone would think that was awesome.”
That was the snapshot of Tagovailoa’s return from a concussion that kept him sidelined since he suffered the injury on Sept. 12.
