Memorial Day weekend means a homecoming for the NASCAR Cup Series and the longest mileage race on the calendar. The series shifts to Charlotte Motor Speedway in the suburbs of Queen City, where every team’s headquarters is located, for the Coca-Cola 600.

Every once in a while, a team loses a game in viral fashion.
But that term only begins to describe what Heat fans went through in their team’s final moments on Saturday night against the Celtics.
Miami fans across the internet posted their reactions to what they thought would be their team’s game-winning stop at the conclusion of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals, but instead they posted hilarious videos of them painfully realizing the Heat had just lost at the hands of Derrick White off a historic buzzer beater.
According to a report last week, Jimmy Garoppolo’s deal with the Las Vegas Raiders was held up because of a failed physical. Garoppolo ultimately needed surgery, putting the deal on a one-day hold.
A new report Sunday shows exactly what happened during that one-day delay. The Raiders added an addendum to Garoppolo’s contract that allows them to cut him — with no financial penalties — if he doesn’t pass a physical prior to the season.
Former All-Pro running back Le’Veon Bell made a name for himself for his play on the field but also gained some infamy during his playing days for his marijuana use. The former star tailback was suspended several times during his career as a result of his habit and apparently was high during some of his better games.
“I feel like I got a misconception about me with the whole weed thing,” Bell said on the Steel Here podcast. “I was wrong just cuz I shouldn’t have smoked in the car, regardless. But looking back at this, that’s what I did.
This past week, The Athletic reported that Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo underwent surgery on his injured left foot after signing with the team in March. It appears as though the team knew about the foot issue before agreeing to sign the quarterback and addressed the situation in his contract.
The clause regarding the injury was necessary because Garoppolo did not pass his physical exam. Additionally, by signing the contract, Garoppolo agreed that he understands he is at a higher risk of increased injury to his left foot.
The Sanders family reunion is taking place in Boulder, Colorado this year, it seems. Pro and College Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders took the head coaching position at the University of Colorado following a successful stint at Jackson State. After bringing his son and star quarterback, Shedeur, to Boulder, one of his other sons, Shilo, is set to become a member of the Buffaloes football program, as well.
Shilo, a defensive back like his father, started his career at South Carolina. He left after two seasons to join his dad and brother at Jackson State.
Former 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo’s fresh start with the Las Vegas Raiders isn’t going as planned.
The Heat are one loss away from a historic choke job, but Jimmy Butler is keen on making sure his team is on the right side of history. After his team’s brutal Game 6 loss Saturday night, he made a bold prediction for the pivotal Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals on Monday night against the Celtics in Boston.
“I’m not gon’ let anybody quit. I’m not gonna let our guys quit,” Butler said after Miami’s 104–103 loss Saturday night. “I don’t give a damn what happens—we gon’ go in there [TD Garden], and we’re gonna win.

Watch the new Jets QB take in Taylor Swift at MetLife
Taylor Swift continues to work through the nation on her The Eras tour.
And more than one starting QB in the NFL has gone to see her live.
Earlier this month it was New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones, who made his way to Gillette Stadium to see Swift when she was in Foxborough for three nights. The next QB to see her live in concert? None other than Jones’s new competition in the AFC East, Aaron Rodgers.
Which team wins the all-important possession battle?
Part of what buoyed the Heat in the first three games of the series was their ability to create more scoring opportunities than Boston. Miami turned the ball over three, five and six fewer times than the Celtics in Games 1, 2 and 3, respectively. And even in Game 3, where Boston got up 17 more shot attempts, the Heat made it count by sinking 19 triples to the Celtics’ 11. (The story was similar in Saturday’s Game 6: Miami had 14 threes, whereas Boston had just seven.
