Charles Barkley’s Boston accent is comically bad.
The Celtics pulled off another win against the Heat Thursday night to bring the series to 2-3 and keep the team’s comeback hopes alive.
However, that wasn’t the most entertaining moment of the night. The most entertaining moment was when Charles Barkley was asked to do a Boston accent and gave fans a show that is hard to describe.
There’s really no point in me even trying to break it down before you see it. Do yourself a favor and just hit play on the video below.
Inside the NBA had Charles Barkley do a Boston Accent pic.
Nike somewhat quietly pulled all of Ja Morant’s shoes from its website last week, but that didn’t stop the company from releasing the Ja 1 ‘Hunger’ edition of his sneaker on Thursday. It also didn’t stop folks from buying the young superstar’s newest shoe as they sold out almost instantly.
The shoe was released on Nike’s SNKRS app and sold out within minutes. According to Memphis’ Commercial Appeal, some local Memphis stores either didn’t receive the sneaker to sell locally or had the in-store release put on hold.
Dana White is joining forces with Adam Sandler to bring fans a comedy about the UFC.
White is one of the smartest men in the history of sports when it comes to generating attention and moving the needle. In fact, there’s a great argument to be made nobody is better at promotion than Dana White.
He took the UFC from an organization nobody had ever really heard of to one of the most valuable sports organizations in the world. One of the ways he did it was by offering plenty of access and behind-the-scenes looks.
That now apparently includes a comedy series with Adam Sandler.
Momentum continues to build for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes.
Hype has been off the charts ever since Colorado announced Sanders as the new head coach of the program. In fact, the hype is so real that despite going 1-11 last season, bets are pouring in on Colorado to win the national title.
While that’s a bit insane, there’s no question people are fired up to see what happens this season. The excitement is so real that the Buffaloes set a single-day ticket sales record Wednesday after selling 11,273 single-game tickets.
Colorado previously sold out of its season tickets.
Juiced by avoiding a sweep in Miami, the Celtics ripped the Heat to force a Game 6 in South Florida that could have history waiting on the other side.
3-point shooting, balanced scoring and winning the turnover battle was a winning recipe for the Celtics.
“Don’t let us get one,” they said.
You probably snickered.
“Talk when you get two,” you said.
So what do we think of the Celtics now?
Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals wasn’t a game. It was a beating. Boston led by 15 after the first quarter. It was 17 at halftime and 18 at the end of the third, when Heat coach Erik Spoelstra told Jimmy Butler to call it a night. The Celtics made threes, 41% of them. The Heat committed turnovers, 16 of them, which Boston turned into 27 points.
“There’s no excuses,” said Spoelstra. “The Celtics outplayed us tonight.
Heat star Jimmy Butler said he was still confident about his team’s chances after a 110-97 Game 5 loss to the Celtics on Thursday, saying their mistakes in the past two games are “easily correctable.
While controversial former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown focuses on being a representative of the ownership group for the National Arena League’s Albany Empire team, apparently some NFL teams are expressing “genuine” interest in him, his agent J.R. Rickert told CBS Sports on Thursday.
“He is exploring the right fit,” Rickert said. “I think that he is a multi-talented individual who does everything at a high level, and whatever he commits to, he goes all in.
