With the Cincinnati Bengals missing out on the NFL playoffs a year ago, quarterback Joe Burrow had every reason to be frustrated, but it appears some of that mindset is still lingering as the 2025 campaign is fast approaching.
Cincinnati managed to re-sign wide receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins while also drafting two offensive linemen in April in hopes of keeping Burrow more upright.

The Washington Commanders are coming off a Cinderella season in 2024, hoping to replicate that success in 2025. After winning just three games in 2023, rookie superstar Jayden Daniels led his team to the NFC Championship for the first time in over three decades. It was unexpected on all fronts, but Dan Quinn and Adam Peters found just the right mix of players to be successful in 2024.
That success means that the Commanders have earned some respect from the league, which is evidenced by the five primetime games they will play in 2025.

FRISCO – Dallas Cowboys receiver George Pickens says that when he got the phone call from owner Jerry Jones revealing that a trade to bring him here from Pittsburgh, it all felt like a gift for all involved.
“Super excited,” he said. “It was like when you get a present on Christmas. (Jerry) was just super-happy.”
Dak Prescott shared that view regarding a similar Pickens-related phone call he got from Jones.

MADRID (AP) — Five Valladolid fans who racially insulted Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior in 2022 have been found guilty in the first ruling in Spain that condemns racist insults in a soccer stadium as a hate crime, the league said Wednesday.
A Valladolid court convicted the fans for their insults in a league match, sentencing them to one year in prison plus a fine of up to 1,620 euros ($1,837). The jail time is suspended on condition they don’t commit any offense or visit soccer stadiums hosting official national competitions for three years.

Australian cricketer Steve Smith will make a brief appearance in the 2025 Major League Cricket (MLC) season, fitting in a short spell with Washington Freedom between two key international commitments.
Smith, 35, is expected to feature in two matches for Washington Freedom, the team he led to the championship title last season. His anticipated appearances are against the LA Knight Riders in Oakland on June 17 and MI New York in Dallas on June 21.

The highlight of it all for Armand Membou was to hear his name called.
That’s exactly what the New York Jets made happen for him at the 2025 NFL draft. The offensive lineman from Missouri was selected by New York with the team’s top selection at No. 7 overall.
The cherry on top was his first jersey to commemorate the moment.
Membou went on to choose his number he will wear on the field with his new team. But before then, the Jets made sure to mark the draft occasion by giving him a jersey with the No. 1 on it, to mark him being a first-round pick.
