Ever since the Los Angeles Lakers acquired generational superstar Luka Doncic in that tectonic Feb. 1 trade, their future has looked very bright, even if, in retrospect, they didn’t have a real shot at winning the NBA championship this season.
But the other side of the trade is the fact that big man Anthony Davis, a legitimate superstar in his own right, was sent out. There have been whispers that perhaps the organization had some dissatisfaction with him or even that there was a bit of a rift between him and LeBron James.

There are a lot of emotions that percolate during a round of golf.
This principle rings true for anybody who plays the game, whether on a casual or professional level. When history and legacy are on the line in the latter then things can up a little bit more in intensity.
It seemed that this was the case on Sunday at Quail Hollow as Wyndham Clark seemed to get upset after a drive during his final round of the PGA Championship.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Former Olympic wresting gold medalist Kyle Snyder pleaded guilty Monday to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct after being arrested in a prostitution sting.
Snyder, one of the most successful wrestlers in U.S. history, initially was charged with engaging in prostitution after he was arrested on May 9 at a motel in Columbus, Ohio.
A judge ordered Snyder, 29, to pay a $250 fine. Snyder said he has already completed a one-day program for people accused of solicitation.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Will Power and Josef Newgarden were among the fastest cars in Indianapolis 500 practice Monday, just hours after their teams were penalized for illegal modifications in qualifying, while Team Penske teammate Scott McLaughlin was searching for speed in a car built up following his practice crash.
IndyCar champion Alex Palou paced the two-hour session — the last before Carb Day on Friday, when drivers get on the track one last time before Sunday’s race — with a lap of 226.765 mph.
