Michigan State football elected to skip a spring game and event this year, but there is another football-related event reportedly in the works for fans to be excited about.
Michigan State head coach Jonathan Smith told local media on Thursday that the football program will hold a “Meet the Spartans” event on August 21, according to Chris Solari of the Detroit Free Press. More details on the event will be shared during the summer.
The Spartans traditionally host a spring event for fans to attend and occasionally meet the players.

After a quarter century as one of the most successful coaches in her profession, Marcia Pankratz has called it a career.
Pankratz, Michigan field hockey’s coach for the past 25 years, announced her retirement, which the program shared on social media Thursday.
“I’m incredibly grateful to the University of Michigan for taking a chance on me as a young coach so many years ago,” Pankratz said. “It has been a tremendous honor and a joy of a lifetime.
