1. Akron vs. Kent State (Mid-American)
This has always been one of the most contentious rivalries in all of mid-major basketball, but things have been taken to another level in recent years.
In 2022, four key members of the Kent State team were suspended for the championship game against after video surfaced of them performing a profane “F—k Akron” song in the locker room after their win in the semifinals.

There’s an adage about digging holes: It’s at some point best to stop digging because it can become a grave. And this applies to the Cleveland Browns as they handle Deshaun Watson’s contract.
It is universally understood the quarterback’s $230 fully guaranteed deal was bad. NFL owners, not named Browns owner Jimmy Haslem, panned the deal in private because it set a precedent of being 100 percent guaranteed – like what happens in baseball in basketball.
Then Watson, the beneficiary of the deal, was suspended 11 games in his first year with the Browns in 2022.

Don’t give Jaxson Dart two books, because he can only make one read.
There’s one unexpected name you’re hearing a lot leading up to the NFL Draft: Jaxson Dart. The Ole Miss quarterback is quickly becoming the biggest benefactor of silly season, with Dart being a mediocre player, entering a shallow pool of prospects, and now fully in “fake it ‘til you make it” mode.
It’s gotten so ridiculous that NFL Network’s Charles Davis now has Dart going No. 3 overall to the New York Giants in his latest mock.
