The Heisman Trophy Trust decided to react to O.J. Simpson’s death, and it didn’t go well.
The former USC and NFL star died Wednesday at the age of 76 after battling cancer, and his death was made public by his family Thursday.
Seeing as how Simpson was accused and acquitted of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, some people weren’t exactly shedding tears.

Skip Bayless apologized to Johnny Manziel for hyping him up as the NFL’s next great QB.
Manziel was drafted in the first round by the Cleveland Browns in 2014, and immediately entered the league with an incredible amount of attention and expectations after winning the Heisman Trophy at Texas A&M.
Among the loudest voices supporting Johnny Football was Skip Bayless. The sports pundit famously claimed Manziel would be bigger than LeBron James.
That didn’t come close to happening. The former dual-threat QB was out of the league after two very disappointing seasons.

Thursday’s announcement could have a rippling impact on the F1 grid, and one driver in particular
One of the biggest dominoes in the upcoming Formula 1 driver transfer market has fallen.
Now the rest of the F1 world awaits the fallout.
The news that Fernando Alonso is returning to Aston Martin for 2025 and beyond, on a new “multi-year” deal, fits with the team’s aggressive approach at moving up the F1 grid. Aston Martin signed Alonso away from Alpine for the 2023 season, and that campaign was their most successful in their F1 history.

Leave it to the New York Times to completely screw up their O.J. Simpson coverage on Thursday.
The New York Times writers had a rough Thursday after Simpson’s death. Simpson was remembered for murdering his ex-wife and her friend in 1994, then being acquitted in ’95 in the highly publicized trial. Frankly speaking, 99.9 percent of people believe O.J. did murder his ex-wife, Nicole Brown, and 25-year-old Ron Goldman. A free man but rightly despised.
O.J. Simpson is now G.O.N.E.
