Dan Dakich is a fearless show host at OutKick – and also a legend in the world of basketball, particularly in the state of Indiana.
And on Wednesday night, Dakich officially joined the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame as an inductee of the Class of 2024.
From Primo Banquet Hall in Indianapolis, Dakich was honored by his peers, and welcomed into the growing legacy of Indiana basketball.

The NCAA Tournament is underway and March Madness is in full-swing. Thursday saw a huge upset as #11 Duquesne, a nine-point underdog, beat #6 BYU in the second game of the day. The #11 Oregon Ducks beating the #6 South Carolina Gamecocks would qualify as a seeding upset, although Oregon was actually favored to win prior to tip-off.
The Ducks looked the part of the better team despite their lower seeding, coming out flying (pardon the pun) against the mostly-flightless Gamecocks (enjoy that pun).

There’s a hockey mascot accused of injuring a player and you might be stunned to learn that it isn’t Gritty.
In fact, we can clear every NHL mascot because this incident happened over in Europe.
Sm-Liiga is the top league in Finland and on Thursday night the league’s top team, Tappara Tampere, was playing host to another club called TPS Turku.
Tappara helped themselves to a 4-1 win, but one moment in the game caught some attention over on Reddit.

I have no idea what Long Beach State athletic director Bobby Smitheran was thinking last week about the job status of now fired head coach Dan Monson, but it seems like it was all planned.
For the past week, Don Monson has been coaching Long Beach State knowing that each game could be his last, because he was fired by the school last Monday. So, creating headlines has been pretty easy for the head coach and his basketball team, given that they just kept winning after he was fired.

We’re keeping track of the results for the 2024 men’s NCAA tournament.
The 2024 men’s NCAA tournament is underway, and it only took a few hours for the madness of March to take hold. One favored team, No. 6 seed BYU, has already been knocked by out by No. 11 seed Duquesne. There will be so much more where that came from.
Elsewhere in the men’s tournament, No. 9 Michigan State blasted No. 8 Mississippi State, 69-51.
