Fans did not storm the court following Oakland’s upset win over Kentucky in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament, but ESPN’s Jay Bilas still elected to share his thoughts about the Wildcats’ latest embarrassing effort.
Following Kentucky’s 80-76 loss to the 14th-seeded Golden Grizzlies, everyone pointed the finger at head coach John Calipari. The Wildcats looked unprepared and fell into their season-long trend of struggling mightily on the defensive side of the floor.
The Boston Red Sox are down bad.
In less than a week, the Sox will open their season in prime time on MLB Network against the Seattle Mariners — yet their fans seem to be blissfully unaware that Opening Day is upon us. So NBC10 Boston sent reporter Mary Markos to Fenway Park to “find out if anyone cares.”
Spoiler alert: They don’t.
Markos asked Boston locals if they could name any current Red Sox players. And the answers were …concerning.
“Current? [Rafael] Devers. That’s probably it,” one man responded.
Northwestern is heading to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after a wild game against FAU.
FAU was up 58-56 with just under 30 seconds left when it appeared Northwestern had retained a loose ball to have a shot at winning the game. There was just one problem.
The refs called it out of bounds on the Wildcats in what can only be described as a horrific call.
Ultimately, it was ruled an inadvertent whistle, which then gave the ball with the possession arrow to FAU. Check out the truly unbelievable call below.

Wind and rain created tough conditions at the Valspar Championship, where numerous players struggled to have any success.
The Tampa Bay area is no stranger to inclement weather, as harsh conditions continue to impact play at this week’s Valspar Championship.
Scores during the second round have ballooned thanks to the 30-mile-per-hour winds blowing across the golf course. Rain is also expected to impact play during the afternoon wave.
