The Nets made a massive mistake turning down Rockets trade offer involving Jalen Green and Mikal Bridges.
The Houston Rockets reportedly offered the Brooklyn Nets a blockbuster deal that would have sent Mikal Bridges to Houston and returned Jalen Green and draft picks to Brooklyn. The Nets turned down the offer at the trade deadline, according to NBA insider Shams Charania, and the two teams have been headed in opposite directions ever since.
The Rockets are the hottest team in the NBA right now, and the rapid ascension of Green is fueling their rise.

ORLANDO – Andy Reid has plenty of problems he’s been trying to solve and apparently putting on a crown and adding the weight of preserving an NFL dynasty isn’t one of them.
That’s why Reid basically dismissed my question about the Chiefs being the NFL’s newest dynasty after winning two consecutive Super Bowls and three in the last five seasons.
“It’s up to you guys to do the dynasty thing,” Reid said at the NFL annual meeting. “I’m back to training camp and the meat potatoes of the things. That’s where I go.

Based on the state of Jerry Jones‘ notepad, there wasn’t too much to note during day one of the NFL owner’s meetings. The Dallas Cowboys owner did have a working pen though, so he had that going for him.
During his media availability on Monday afternoon, Jones was photographed by David Moore of the Dallas Morning News. Front and center was a notepad with the NFL crest on it with a bunch of random scribbles all over it, courtesy of Jones.

If you’re a UConn Huskies men’s basketball fan, you’re probably not thrilled with head coach Dan Hurley at the moment.
Don’t get me wrong, he’s doing a phenomenal job at maximizing his roster’s potential. In total, they’ve won 33 games this season (March Madness games included), claimed the Big East tournament crown, and have bulldozed their way to the Sweet 16. Hurley has kept his guys focused, and they’re holding up their end of the bargain with blowout win after blowout win.

A Swedish soccer player took the phrase “married to the game” a little too seriously, according to his soon to be ex-wife.
RB Leipzig’s Emil Forsberg signed a transfer deal with the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer (MLS) in December. While switching countries to live and play soccer in is certainly a difficult transition for anyone to make, it’s been a harder transition for his wife, Shanga, and his two children, Florence and Siena.
That’s because since the move to the MLS side, Emil has essentially ghosted his family, according to Shanga.

The 12-seed Grand Canyon Antelopes lost to the 4-seed Alabama Crimson Tide in the Round of 32 of March Madness, and thank goodness they did.
Now, don’t get the wrong impression. I’m not saying that I’m against lower seeds winning games against higher ones. I love upsets in March Madness, provided that they don’t bust my bracket (I’m talking about you, Oakland). As such, I would have loved to see Grand Canyon get to the Sweet 16, especially at Alabama’s expense.

NFL fans groaned in January about the Chiefs-Dolphins playoff game airing exclusively on the Peacock, the first-ever streaming-only broadcast of a postseason NFL matchup.
Some fans posted on social media that they’d boycott the game in protest. Of course, such threats proved more bark than bite.
An average minute audience of 23 million viewers streamed the game, according to NBC.
More importantly, per a new Antenna study, around 3 million users engaged in paid sign-ups for Peacock in the three-day window surrounding the wild card broadcast.

Ranking the best running backs in the 2024 NFL Draft.
The 2024 NFL Draft features an exciting crop of running back prospects. Although the class lacks bona fide first-rounders a la Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs, there is plenty of talent to be located in the mid-to-late rounds. Several prospects are generating significant Day 2 buzz. How each prospect performs at the next level remains to be seen, but envisioning several starting running backs emerging from this year’s draft is a realistic outcome.
