The NFL’s latest marijuana policy has helped players unwind
Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce has been around for quite a bit. From his journey as a former QB at the University of Cincinnati to becoming a first-ballot Hall of Famer at TE. With his knowledge of the game also comes the knowledge of loopholes in the NFL, including when it comes to smoking weed.
In an interview Kelce did with Vanity Fair, Kelce estimates that around 50-80% of the NFL players in the league use cannabis.

Perfection for Germán
Major League Baseball’s first perfect game in more than a decade belongs to Domingo Germán.
Former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick joined Sports Illustrated to discuss the best quarterbacks to ever play the position.
Spoiler alert: Kaepernick, the only player in NCAA Division I history to register more than 10,000 passing yards and 4,000 rushing yards in a career, did not include Pro Football Hall of Famers such as Peyton Manning, Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Drew Brees or Joe Montana among his top five. (Brees, Manning and Favre rank second, third and fourth all-time in NFL career passing yards only behind Tom Brady.
For years, Arjun Nimmala spent more time on a cricket field in India than on the travel baseball circuit. Now he’s projected to be a top-15 pick in the MLB draft.
The people of Albuquerque showed up to the Isotopes game hungry for hot dogs (NOT sandwiches) on Wednesday night. They did not disappoint.
Burqueños and Burqueñas averaged 2.7 hot dogs eaten per person over the course of nine innings, but that number actually detracts from the overall feat. It’s more impressive in total.
The Isotopes are the Triple-A affiliate for the Colorado Rockies of the Pacific Coast League. Their games are played at an elevation of 5,100 feet above sea level, and draw pretty sizable crowd for home games.
No crowd, though, is greater than $0.50 hot dog night.

Phil Mickelson, who has expressed countless times his support for LIV Golf, has some very interesting plans for the tour.
Phil Mickelson has been one of the most outspoken characters in favor of LIV Golf. As recently as Wednesday, Mickelson expressed his support for the upstart tour and what he envisions for the future.
But his thoughts go beyond golf itself. During his press conference ahead of LIV Golf Valderrama event, Mickelson detailed some truly aspirational thinking the kids will love.
Warriors star Draymond Green elected to decline his player option earlier this month to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, and ever since, speculation has run rampant regarding where he will play next season and beyond.
The expectation is that Green would re-sign with Golden State and continue to play for the only franchise he’s been with for his entire career. However, with the start of free agency approaching this weekend, rumors regarding Green and other prominent free agents have run rampant.

The reason for this is … something.
Derek Carr will forever have beef with the Raiders. The Saints quarterback talked to the Fresno Bee this week and explained his exit from Las Vegas and how he will never, ever forgive his former team for making his wife cry.
When asked if he would have returned to the Raiders if they asked him, Carr had a pretty blunt response.
“Once they made my wife cry, that was pretty much over,” he said. “Once they made her cry, that was out. But the love for my teammates is what probably would have made me do it.
It didn’t take long for Odell Beckham Jr. to showcase his ability to create highlight-reel one-handed grabs with the Ravens. Beckham, who joined Baltimore as a free agent this offseason, made a tough one-handed catch look easy, and everyone loved it.
But no one loved it more than Ravens wide receiver coach Keith Williams, who jumped up and down with joy. The back-and-forth after Williams emphatically stated, “oh, I like that type of stuff!” was hilarious in its own right.
Via the Ravens:
“No, you do not!”
“Only from him.” 💀😂😂 pic.twitter.
