The 2023 MLB All-Star Game is underway in Seattle, and it didn’t take long for basically everyone on social media to agree on one thing—the soulless uniforms being worn by the National League and American League teams are awful and should never be used again. 
MLB used to have players wear their normal team uniforms in the All-Star Game. But that changed in 2021, and it seems to take so much of the fun out of the annual game. 
This year’s uniforms make it very hard to tell who each player is, which isn’t ideal for fans watching in the stadium or on TV.

The NBA Board of Governors approved two new rule changes Tuesday that will be instituted for the 2023-24 season. The new rules will involve the issues of flopping and coach’s challenges.
The league now will award the opposing team a technical free throw when a player is ruled to have flopped in attempt to draw a call. However, the new flopping penalty doesn’t count toward the two technical fouls that lead to a player’s ejection. In other words, a player cannot be ejected from a game for flopping.

Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant caught a ton of heat this past year for allegedly fighting a teenager during a heated pickup basketball game in 2022. Well, an arrest warrant has been issued for Morant’s best friend, Davonte Pack, for his involvement in assaulting then-17-year-old Joshua Holloway during the scene.

The Shelby County District (TN.) Attorney’s Office announced on Monday that the arrest warrant targets Pack for allegedly hitting Holloway after the teenager hit Morant on the chin with the basketball.

Northwestern fired coach Pat Fitzgerald for cause, his attorney told ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg on Tuesday.

NFL Network pulled Michael Irvin from all of its Super Bowl coverage following a sexual harassment allegation from a hotel worker in Phoenix. Irvin subsequently sued Marriott, the owner of the hotel where the alleged incident took place.
Irvin denies that he engaged in any misconduct. Two witnesses came forward days later to support Irvin’s defense.
Irvin’s lawyers released security camera footage from the hotel that they believe clears the former All-Pro wide receiver of the charges.
Despite all of that, NFL Network kept Irvin on the sidelines throughout the end of the NFL season.

Rob Manfred’s not been shy in his assessment of the Oakland A’s and their prospects of staying in the Bay Area.
News broke recently that A’s ownership intended to move the team to Las Vegas, with the team agreeing to build a new stadium on the site of the Tropicana Hotel.
Years of low attendance figures, little investment in the team and even less investment in the stadium combined to make the Oakland baseball situation unacceptable.
A’s fans, naturally, reacted with frustration and disappointment.

The Home Run Derby is one of baseball’s marquee events of the year. Monday night’s version was a crowning achievement for Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who knocked off Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena in the final round to win the first Derby of his career. But not every participant emerged from the event unscathed.
On Tuesday, the White Sox announced that All-Star center fielder Luis Robert Jr. felt calf tightness during the first round of the Derby.
