Free agency officially began on Wednesday. Dallas Goedert, though, remains a member of the Eagles.
The team and the tight end agreed to push back the void date on Goedert’s contract from midnight Tuesday to Friday, Zach Berman of TheAthletic.com reports. The procedural move gives the sides more time to work out a contract.
It also prevented $20.5 million in dead money for 2026 from hitting the Eagles’ books.
Goedert wants to finish his career in Philadelphia after spending his first eight seasons with the Eagles, who made him a second-round pick in 2018.

Big Ten Conference action started for the UCLA Bruins this past weekend, with the Bruins picking up a sweep over the Wisconsin Badgers. The Bruins outscored Wisconsin 38-14 over the three games.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The New Orleans Saints traded punter Kai Kroeger and a 2028 seventh-round draft pick to Houston on Wednesday for the Texans’ 2028 sixth-round draft choice.
The trade, announced by Saints general manager Mickey Loomis, comes on the heels of New Orleans’ free-agent signing of former Minnesota punter Ryan Wright to a four-year, $14 million contract.
Kroeger is entering his second NFL season.
Undrafted out of South Carolina, he initially signed with the New York Jets last offseason before joining the Saints during last preseason.

Caitlin Clark, who had her Team USA debut on March 11, officially scored her first points since July 2025.
Clark, who hasn’t played since July 15, 2025, as a member of the WNBA’s Indiana Fever, did not start during the U.S. matchup against Senegal, but she created an immediate impact off the bench. At the 5:27 mark of the first quarter, the Indiana Fever star checked in, and minutes later, she officially made her first basket as a member of Team USA.
True to form, Clark’s first Team USA points came from a 3-pointer at the 1:22 mark of the first quarter.

Florida State men’s basketball begins its ACC tournament run against Cal on Wednesday, March 11, at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The No. 8-seeded Seminoles (17-14, 10-8 ACC) are one of the hottest teams in college basketball, with a 10-3 record since Jan. 20. That run turned the program around from 7-11 and 0-5 in the ACC, and one of the 10 wins came agaisnt Cal.
FSU beat the No. 9-seeded Bears (21-10) in the regular season, 63-61.

CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, Italy (AP) — Ukraine’s Paralympic committee has accused the International Paralympic Committee and Milan Cortina organizers of subjecting Ukraine’s athletes and coaches to “systematic pressure.”
It released a statement Wednesday with a series of alleged incidents in which it said representatives of the IPC and the local organizing committee pressured and disrespected the Ukrainians.
