In May, musician Taylor Swift told an adoring audience at Lincoln Financial Field that she was an Eagles fan.
“I did see the debate about—I have a lyric that says, ‘With my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door,’” Swift said then, alluding to “Gold Rush” from 2020’s Evermore. “I saw some people wondering if it was the band the Eagles or the team the Eagles and I love the band the Eagles. But guys, come on. I’m from Philly. Of course it’s the team.”
Oh, how times have changed.

There were no wins for Sam Howell in Week 11, even off the field.
The Commanders’ quarterback threw three interceptions in the team’s 31-19 loss to the struggling Giants on Sunday and was forced to wear a Clemson hoodie in Washington’s news conference on Tuesday after losing a bet following North Carolina’s loss to Clemson on Saturday.
Howell, who spent three seasons as the Tar Heels quarterback from 2019 to ’21, failed to defeat the Tigers in his UNC tenure.

Prior to his trade from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets, Aaron Rodgers claims he seriously contemplated retirement from the NFL. The 39-year-old quarterback went on a four-day darkness retreat and said prior to that he was “90 percent retired, 10 percent playing.”
Of course, the darkness ironically opened his eyes and made him realize he wanted to play football. Just not in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
So, the team traded him to the New York Jets. Rodgers promptly suffered a torn Achilles on the fourth play of his Jets tenure.
