The Atlanta Braves are now a publicly traded company, meaning fans can now technically become part owners of a professional baseball team.
That’s interesting enough, but what’s even more fascinating is that as a publicly traded team, the Braves now have to release financial disclosures on their revenues, including profits or potential losses. Meaning that after years of guessing what teams around Major League Baseball make each year, we now have concrete information on it.
And at least for the Atlanta Braves, business is booming.

To say OL Reign midfielder Megan Rapinoe has had a decorated career is an understatement. The U.S. soccer icon won two World Cups, played in three countries at the club level and became one of the most recognizable activist-athletes in the history of sports.
However, Rapinoe’s career came to an end in gutting fashion on Saturday evening during the NWSL championship in San Diego.
Two minutes into the Reign’s match against NJ/NY Gotham FC, Rapinoe pulled up with an apparent non-contact injury.

Syracuse’s Garrett Shrader turned into a gymnast during a game against Pittsburgh, but that wasn’t the craziest part of his day.
During the Orange’s 28-13 win over the Pittsburgh Panthers (in a game played at Yankee Stadium), Syracuse called a trick play. Shrader plays quarterback, but he lined up as a receiver for the snap.
The play developed away from Shrader, and the pass fell incomplete. But the signal-caller took the time to do something he normally can’t do under center.

ESPN’s College GameDay is heading to Harrisonburg, Va to the campus of undefeated, Sun Belt-leading James Madison for their Week 12 tilt against Appalachian State, the show announced on Saturday night.
As if the news of GameDay heading to Harrisonburg couldn’t get any bigger, it was also announced that the Jonas Brothers will perform live during the show next Saturday morning. It will be the show’s first appearance on the campus of James Madison since 2017.

Colorado’s woes continued on Saturday with a heartbreaking 34–31 home loss to No. 23 Arizona (7–3), an outcome that led to a startling post-game moment of honesty from coach Deion Sanders.
Despite leading 31-24 to start the fourth quarter, Sanders’s Buffaloes (4–6) dropped their sixth game in seven outings after giving up 10 unanswered points to close the game, including a walk-off field goal. As Sanders began his post-game press conference, the coach divulged that he just finished speaking with the team about where he believes the struggling program currently stands.

It was the first interception of Washington Husky fifth-year junior linebacker Alphonzo Tuputala’s career.
And he’ll never forget it, because he Leon Lett-ed it.
Tuputala didn’t quite finish.
Tuputala intercepted Utah quarterback Bryson Barnes at his 23-yard line and dashed down the right sideline for what was an apparent 77-yard interception return and what would have been a 40-28 lead with 30 seconds to play in the third quarter.

Washington linebacker drops the ball on purpose, ruining what could have been a 77-yard interception return against Utah Saturday night.

No. 5 Washington held on to beat No. 18 Utah, 35–28, in a Pac-12 showdown at Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium on Saturday.
However, despite improving to 10–0 (7–0 in the Pac-12), a critical blunder by Huskies linebacker Alphonzo Tuputala handed sports bettors arguably one of the worst bad beats of the 2023 college football season.
After making an interception, Tuputala headed down the near sideline and was in the clear for an easy touchdown. However, prior to crossing the goal line Tuputala inexplicably dropped the ball at least two yards short of breaking the plane.

The last two weeks of Iowa Hawkeyes games have been consecutively the two lowest over/unders in college football history. And in both consecutive weeks, the under has covered. Easily.
Last week, Iowa-Northwestern had an over/under of 29. And the game was even more of an offensive wasteland than expected. Neither team crossed 175 total yards, with unimaginably bad yards per carry averages from both rushing “attacks.

Usually, Uga is the only dog in Sanford Stadium.
Georgia’s beloved pooch has been roaming the home sidelines since 1956—posing for photos, starring in movies and generally having free rein.
On Saturday, however, the Bulldogs’ mascot wasn’t alone.
ESPN color commentator and former Ohio State quarterback Kirk Herbstreit brought his dog on to the field before Georgia’s showdown with Ole Miss. The furry friend was an instant hit, rolling around and playing with the announcer on the field while players and coach came up to greet him.
