Will facing the Broncos fix what ails the Bills, or just make it worse?
After coaching in the NFL for nearly 50 years, Bill Belichick has made his fair share of friends — and enemies. Turns out, the wife of another coaching legend is one of the latter.
Fran Levy — married to former longtime Buffalo Bills coach Marv Levy — can’t stand Belichick. And speaking to the Boston Globe last week, she wasn’t shy about her disdain for the New England Patriots head coach.
“I think he should retire,” she said.
“I can’t stand him. He’s a cheater, and he was rude to Marv. Bill Belichick was always jealous of Marv.
F1 fans, get ready … to watch golf.
Here’s what you need to know about how to watch Monday Night Football.
The Oilers fired head coach Jay Woodcroft and assistant Dave Manson on Sunday, a move superstar forward Connor McDavid admitted caught him by surprise.
The reigning Hart Trophy winner spoke to reporters on Monday, addressing the departure of Woodcroft just 13 games into the ‘23-‘24 NHL season.
“First and foremost, obviously surprised,” McDavid said, via TSN. “Didn’t see it coming. I loved playing for ‘Woody.’ I loved playing for ‘Mans.’”
McDavid told reporters that he learned of the firing of Woodcroft through a text, which he saw when he woke up Sunday morning.
The Johnny Manziel content machine made its first highlight with this year’s streaming hit, Netflix’s “Untold: Johnny Football.”
Manziel’s story in football, from Texas A&M to the pros and beyond, is recognized as one of the more turbulent stories in modern sports, with a character fit for his Hollywood biopic.
Speaking on the potential for a biopic and who could play him, Manziel submitted his No. 1 overall pick in “Top Gun: Maverick” actor Miles Teller. A man who’s been described as having a “punchable face.” But you decide.
After missing Week 9 due to a right thumb injury, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford may be closing in on a return to action in time for the team’s first game coming out of its bye week.
Rams coach Sean McVay announced on Monday the team currently expects Stafford, who suffered a UCL sprain versus the Cowboys in Week 8, to be cleared to play for Week 11 against the division-rival Seahawks (6–3).
McVay also shared that Stafford’s continued progress made it possible for the 35-year-old to resume throwing during individual drills at Monday’s unofficial practice.
Vikings linebacker Jordan Hicks was hospitalized after suffering compartment syndrome from a direct hit to his shin in the team’s 27–19 victory against the Saints on Sunday, head coach Kevin O’Connell announced Monday during Minnesota’s news conference.
O’Connell said Hicks underwent a procedure to reduce the pressure from a contusion in his shin and to “address some of the complications from that direct trauma” to his lower leg. Hicks suffered the injury during the first quarter of the game and exited the field before being evaluated by the Vikings’ medical staff.
Each week, the New York Jets offense does almost nothing on the football field. And, each week, head coach Robert Saleh stands up at the podium and re-affirms Zach Wilson as the team’s starting quarterback.
Realistically, he doesn’t have much choice. The NFL trade deadline passed, which means the only options out there are free agents. There aren’t many great unemployed quarterbacks in November. Otherwise, they’d be employed. Obviously.
Apparently, the Jets passed on Carson Wentz, who signed with the Los Angeles Rams to back up Matthew Stafford.
So, yeah, Zach Wilson it is.
