Golfer Lucas Glover led the FedEx St. Jude Championship after the first two rounds, and the man deserved it. He left everything on the course including several gallons of ass sweat.
Look, I’m not sure who thinks holding outdoor sporting events in the American Southeast is a good idea, but it continues to happen. Whether it’s an IndyCar race or a golf tournament, you know it’s going to be ungodly hot from Florida up through Tennessee and beyond.
The FedEx St. Jude Championship is being held at Memphis’ TPC Southwind, and as you’d expect it’s hot and humid.

Jordan Luplow doesn’t take himself too seriously.
The Minnesota Twins outfielder found himself on the pitcher’s mound Friday with his team down 11-2 to the Philadelphia Phillies in the eighth inning. Oftentimes when a game is already out of hand, teams will bring in a position player instead of burning through their bullpen.
So in the second-ever pitching appearance of his career, Luplow decided to have a little fun. Before he would up, he bent over, stuck out his elbow and dangled his right arm by his side.
Phillies fans know this move well.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders is a man used to winning. He won four bowl games at Florida State, a National League pennant with the Braves, Super Bowls with the 49ers and Cowboys, and a pair of SWAC titles as Jackson State’s coach.
The Buffaloes, however, are in a different solar system from those champions. Colorado is reeling from a 1–11 season—the team’s worst in a decade—and in the midst of a complete roster overhaul a year before switching conferences.
Some coaches would zero in on culture as a means of kickstarting a turnaround. Sanders is not some coaches.

It did not take D.J. Moore long to show why he will become Justin Field’s No. 1 wide receiver option in the 2023 NFL season.
Moore, the former Panthers wideout who was part of the blockbuster deal that sent the No. 1 pick in the ’23 draft from the Bears to the Panthers, caught a screen pass from Fields and took it 62 yards to the end zone to give Chicago its first touchdown of the game.
Moore’s spectacular touchdown reception capped a three-play, 75-yard drive to begin the Bears’ scoring in their first preseason game.

Thieves have stolen several San Antonio Spurs championship jerseys out of a storage locker belonging to former NBA player Kevin Willis.
Willis reported the crime Tuesday when he noticed 10 of his former teammates’ jerseys were missing from his Roswell, Ga., storage locker. Another rack of clothing — worth around $9,000 — also went missing, according to the police report.

In the 911 call obtained by TMZ, Willis says the jerseys were framed inside the unit.

For the first time since collapsing on the field in a game last January, Damar Hamlin played in an NFL game. The Bills defensive back took the field as Buffalo hosted the Colts in the team’s first preseason game of the Summer seven months after nearly losing his life during a game.
Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest on January 2 after getting hit while playing the Bengals in Cincinnati. The cornerback was able to recover as multiple heart specialists cleared him to return, paving his way to become a full participant in OTAs in the Spring.
