24 players have been confirmed for Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL golf league, but should they consider female golfers in the future?
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy are just a few months away from launching their TGL Golf League. On Tuesday, they unveiled the format for the matches that will air on ESPN beginning in early 2024.
While the original six teams already have 24 players to pick from, one of Playing Through’s readers, Twitter user Emily Richards, brought up a great point that deserves to be discussed.

As the Jets continue to hover around playoff contention in the absence of Aaron Rodgers, New York made a push to acquire wide receiver Mike Evans from the Buccaneers and wide receiver Davante Adams from the Raiders ahead of Tuesday’s trade deadline, according to a report from Brian Costello of the New York Post.
Ultimately, the Jets stood pat at the deadline, but it wasn’t for a lack of trying.
Jets general manager Joe Douglas’s inquired about both big-name pass catchers, but the respective teams were unwilling to trade them.
Let’s sort through the numerous questionable moves that led to McDaniels’ firing.
The life of an NBA insider might appear to be exciting and fast-paced. However, Adrian Wojnarowski’s experience while reporting the James Harden trade might dispel that notion.
Harden was dealt from the 76ers to the Clippers in the late hours of Monday night going into very early Tuesday morning. But Wojnarowski wasn’t at home or the office when breaking news of the trade at 2 a.m. ET. He was at the airport.
Not wanting to miss any correspondence, the ESPN insider didn’t get on his scheduled flight to Los Angeles from Newark Airport.
Some time between an incompetent Monday Night Football loss to the Lions and 12:50 a.m. Eastern time Wednesday, Raiders owner Mark Davis decided he was through being told to build a football team.
To buttress the slow but budding progress of the Jon Gruden era, Davis turned to the Patriot Way, bringing both Josh McDaniels and Dave Ziegler from New England in 2022. From one force of personality, to a kind of clique of personality, the Raiders handed over the best collection of personnel the franchise had had since the turn of the millennium.
An underlying theme of this NFL season has been the idea of teams tanking for USC quarterback Caleb Williams. But in our projection, he isn’t even the first QB picked.
PHOENIX — In the middle of September, Rangers first baseman Nate Lowe went with a few teammates to a casino in Cleveland and saw something that shook him to his core. Left fielder Evan Carter, who had recently turned 21, handed over his driver’s license—for the first time, he later told them. That was bad enough. But what really grabbed Lowe’s attention was the orientation of that driver’s license: It was vertical.
“[We didn’t] rip him apart,” Lowe says, laughing. “But it was definitely a point of focus.”
Carter all but blushes now.
Once a social media sensation who rose to No. 1 in the 2023 class, Williams went from a rock star life as an early teen to a 19-year-old fighting for his freedom.
The Buffalo Bills strengthened their defensive backfield on Tuesday by acquiring cornerback Rasul Douglas from the Green Bay Packers. While Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen should be excited that his defense has added talent, his first interaction with Douglas may be an interesting one.
Following news of the trade, an old video of Allen and Douglas exchanging pleasantries during a past Bills-Packers matchup made the rounds on social media.
In the video, Douglas and Allen were jawing, with the quarterback telling him “you fuc-ing suck” not once, but twice.
The Raiders have named linebackers coach Antonio Pierce as interim head coach after the franchise fired Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler early Wednesday morning.
Pierce, who is in his second season with Las Vegas, will make his debut as head coach against the Giants on Sunday, the team that he won Super Bowl XLII with as a starting linebacker in 2007.
Pierce made the jump to the NFL on McDaniels’s staff last season after spending five years working in various roles under Herm Edwards at Arizona State.
