The NFL adjusted its flex scheduling policy for the 2023 season. The league now allows both Thursday Night Football and Monday Night Football to have games swapped. Previously, only Sunday Night Football could switch.
However, the league cannot move Monday Night Football games until Week 12 and Thursday Night Football games until Week 13. It can move up to two Sunday Night Football games from Week 5 through Week 10, and then as often as it likes for the rest of the year.
So far, the NFL has kept the schedule intact.

The deadline for the PGA Tour’s framework agreement with the Saudi Public Investment Fund is quickly approaching.
The end of the most tumultuous year in golf history is quickly approaching.
Back in June, the PGA Tour, together with the DP World Tour, settled on a “framework agreement” with the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF)—the beneficiary of LIV Golf.
That announcement, made publicly on CNBC’s Squawk on the Street, shocked the sporting world, as it appeared to end a bitter rivalry between the PGA and LIV.
On Tuesday, cornerback Rasul Douglas was a member of the Packers. The NFL trade deadline came and went, though, and Green Bay attached a fifth-round draft pick to Douglas and sent him to the Bills for a third-round pick.
It was little more than a routine transaction, but on Wednesday Buffalo used it for some post-practice comedic fodder.
When the Bills tweeted out their injury report, Douglas appeared on it, despite the fact he’s started every Packers game this season. The reason given wasn’t any injury, but the fact that Douglas “just got here.
The Titans have ruled quarterback Ryan Tannehill out for Thursday night’s game against the Steelers, paving the way for rookie Will Levis to make his second consecutive start.
Tannehill sprained his ankle in Tennessee’s 24–16 loss to the Ravens two weeks ago in London. Levis made his first professional start in Tannehill’s place last Sunday, throwing for 238 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions in the team’s 28–23 win over the Falcons.
Our latest fantasy hockey trade tips are led by a big name who just still hasn’t found his skates with his new team.
The Raiders made big changes late Tuesday night, firing head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler less than two seasons into their contracts. Then, on Wednesday, the team benched quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for rookie Aiden O’Connell for the foreseeable future.
Garoppolo was the Raiders’ biggest addition in the offseason, replacing former franchise quarterback Derek Carr who was released after nine years with the team.
Many of those interviewed described a workplace they found abusive and intimidating. Bidwill told ESPN he is working to improve team culture.

Morikawa became the second player to accept a spot on one of the six TGL teams, but made some suspicious Ryder Cup comments along the way.
Coming off a win at the Zozo Championship, Collin Morikawa became the second player to sign with one of the six inaugural TGL Golf League teams. He joins Justin Thomas, who agreed to sign with Atlanta Drive Golf Club on Tuesday.
The Los Angeles Golf Club filmed him getting the news, which came with some bizarre comments.
“Absolutely! I’m In. I just got chills throughout my body,” Morikawa said.
Trevor Ariza may have starred in Los Angeles in both high school and college—playing at Westchester High before his lone year at UCLA—but he’s not necessarily going to push his son Tajh, a highly touted class of 2026 recruit, down the same path.
“The decision is really his,” says the elder Ariza, a former NBA champ who spent 18 years in the league. “It all depends on how they recruit him; they are not recruiting me. Whatever I did at that time was a completely different scenario and situation. The schools that are recruiting him, they have to do their job.
Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst was noncommittal when discussing quarterback Jordan Love’s future with the franchise on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters, Gutekunst addressed whether the organization considers the 24-year-old to be its quarterback of the future.
“We’re evaluating a first-year player, if that makes sense,” the GM said of Love, via Bill Huber of FanNation’s Packer Central.
