The five-year pro has spent his entire career with Dallas.
A day after trading their top receiver to the Cowboys, the Texans are reportedly making a move to add a veteran pass catcher with ties to their cross-state rival.
Houston reached an agreement with tight end Dalton Schultz on a one-year deal worth up to $9 million, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Monday. The news comes on the heels of a reported deal between the Texans and Cowboys that sent receiver Brandin Cooks to Dallas in exchange for a 2023 fifth-round pick and a ’24 sixth-round pick.

The running back led Buffalo in rushing yards last season.
Former Bills running back Devin Singletary is expected to sign with the Texans on a one-year deal, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Monday.
Singletary visited with the Texans on Monday, per ESPN’s Field Yates, and the deal came on the same day. The deal is reportedly worth up to $3.75 million.
The running back became a free agent this offseason after four seasons on the Bills. Singletary really shined in the last two seasons, finishing with over 800 rushing yards in both years.

NHL teams’ social media accounts are now trying to advertise the existence of multiple genders based on Mexican doctrine cited 2,500 years ago.
On Saturday, the San Jose Sharks’ Twitter account went on a bizarre spree of tweets highlighting gay culture as part of their Pride festivities.
NHL Team Lectures Fans On Gender
In their tweets, the Sharks (a hockey team) mentioned how gender is perceived differently outside of the Western World. Some tweets mentioned the idea of a “third gender” once accepted in long-gone Mexican civilizations.

The Lobos beat Rick’s Iona team on Dec. 18.
On Dec. 18, New Mexico defeated Iona 82–74 in Albuquerque. The Lobos moved to 11–0 at the time and their coach, Richard Pitino, defeated his father—Hall of Fame Gaels coach Rick Pitino.
The two teams are all set for another matchup in the 2023–24 season. However, Rick won’t be a part of it after reportedly accepting the vacant St. John’s head coaching job Monday afternoon.
Taking his father’s new gig in stride, Richard had some fun with the news on Twitter shortly after it broke.

From the “what else is he going to say” department comes a quote from new Carolina Panthers head coach Frank Reich. Speaking for the first time since the team traded for the #1 pick in the NFL Draft, Reich said he isn’t ruling out any player at number one, including Alabama’s Bryce Young.
Of course that’s what he’s going to say. Can you imagine if he sat up there and said, “We’re taking CJ Stroud.” Or, “We’re definitely not taking Bryce Young.” That would be a story.
Yet, here I am writing about it anyway. So, I guess it’s a story either way.

Alabama and Houston, the last No. 1 seeds standing, have the best odds to win the national championship heading into the Sweet 16.
During an opening weekend that saw other title contenders fall victim to the madness of March, No. 1 Alabama flexed its dominance and now enters the Sweet 16 as the favorite to win the national championship.
Right behind the Crimson Tide is No. 1 Houston, which entered the NCAA Tournament with the best odds to cut down the nets, just ahead of Alabama at the time. The Crimson Tide and Cougars are the last No.

As the college basketball season comes to a close, it’s tournament time. Not only is March Madness underway for both the men and women, as are the D-II, D-III, NIT, CBI and NAIA Tournaments.
For the athletes, not only does tournament season mean travel, it also means swag. The extent of that swag, though, varies by level of play.
Here is an example of what the men received at March Madness in 2021:

Here’s the welcome-to-Indy team swag starter set teams are getting from the NCAA upon arrival.

Antoine Davis has ended his pursuit of “Pistol” Pete Maravich’s NCAA scoring record. While it looked like Davis’ college career was over when the College Basketball Invitational did not extend an invitation to the Titans, he held out hope until Monday that he would get another chance to play, possibly in an inaugural College Hoops Postseason 8. The CBI, which started Saturday, posted pictures on its Twitter account of Maravich and Davis shortly after Detroit Mercy lost at Youngstown State and had talks with the school about a potential invitation.
