Mookie Betts smashed a three-run home run to right field to help the Los Angeles Dodgers close the gap against the Atlanta Braves.
Utah didn’t have its starting quarterback, Cam Rising, and rotated two throughout the game. Utah was the team that didn’t have its standout tight end Brant Kuithe, nor did it have multiple other starters. But Florida was the team who looked disjointed, unprepared and just plain bad in a 24–11 loss to the Utes. Braves superstar outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. made MLB history on Thursday night during Atlanta’s tilt against the Dodgers.
In the top of the second inning, Acuña launched a grand slam to break open the game. The bases-clearing bomb was his 30th home run of the season, and it also set him apart in league history.

Things were similarly lackluster for Matt Rhule and Nebraska during their first half of the season, as they were held scoreless at halftime of their game against Minnesota, though their defense looked strong.
