Houston football coach Dana Holgorsen has a bold staffing strategy for the 2023 season.
The Cougars went 8-5 last season, and things were chaotic at points during the season to say the least. UH fans expected a lot better after facing lofty expectations to open the season, but Holgorsen and the team just couldn’t get things firing on all cylinders.
Well, he’s now going to seemingly run the offense himself in 2023. Holgorsen won’t replace former OC Shannon Dawson after he left for Miami, according to Mark Berman.

With the free agent signing period looming, here are the top fantasy players that could be on the market.
The NFL’s offseason calendar began on February 13, with the start of the 2023 waiver wire system and the first business day after Super Bowl LVII. Teams can next designate their franchise or transition players starting on February 21 and ending at 4 p.m. ET on March 7. During this period of time, the NFL Scouting Combine (Feb. 28-March 6) will also occur at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

The Dallas Cowboys apparently have some interest in C.J. Stroud ahead of the NFL draft.
Stroud lit it up during his career at Ohio State, and while he failed to find much postseason success, he was still a dominant college QB.
There’s also a very high chance Stroud comes off the board in the top five picks. Dallas doesn’t draft 26 and already has Dak Prescott on a huge deal.

Yet, that apparently hasn’t stopped Jerry Jones’ franchise from taking a look at the former Buckeyes gunslinger.

The school announced Keeler’s passing on Monday evening.
The UNLV football program announced Monday evening that defensive end Ryan Keeler had died. He was 20 years old.
Keeler had just completed his redshirt freshman season for the Rebels after transferring from Rutgers. A native of Chicago, he played in seven games during the 2022 season, recording his first career sack on Oct. 15 against Air Force.
“We are devastated to have lost a member of our Rebel family,” UNLV coach Barry Odom said in a statement.
