As a seven-year NFL veteran, Carson Wentz has lived many lives as he enters his age-31 season. And, with the free-agent quarterback still searching for his next opportunity, Wentz appears to be drawing from his past as a source of inspiration.
On Sunday, the former Eagles, Colts and Commanders QB, as players often do, showed off his offseason preparation on Instagram courtesy of a post featuring several photos from a recent workout.

There’s a lot of drama unfolding at this week’s Wyndham Championship. As the final regular season event of the year, players are jockeying for playoff position. Perennial PGA Tour stars like Adam Scott and Justin Thomas are on the outside looking in. So is Charley Hoffman, but he has no chance to make it to the FedEx Cup playoffs.
Still, he’s out there competing on a Sunday after making the cut at the Wyndham Championship. He entered the week outside the Top 150 in the FedEx Cup standings.
So, it hasn’t been a great year for Hoffman, whose season ends after Sunday.
The Liberty University football program announced Sunday that freshman offensive lineman Tajh Boyd has died. He was 19 years old. The cause of death is unknown at this time.
“We thank God for bringing Tajh into our Liberty Athletics community and we will always remember him as a Flame,” the statement read. “Tajh will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tajh’s family, his teammates and friends, our football coaching staff, as well as our entire athletics department and the greater Liberty University community.
It’s been a swift rise to success for Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs. Entering his fourth year in the NFL, Diggs already has two Pro Bowl appearances, a first-team All-Pro selection and led the league in interceptions in only his second season. But if you ask teammate Stephon Gilmore, Diggs is merely scratching the surface of his superstar potential.
“It’s a blessing,” Gilmore said Sunday of playing with Diggs, per The Athletic‘s Jeff Howe. “He’s young, talented, gifted. It’s exciting to teach him as much as I can because I think he can be the best in the league.
After Russell Westbrook finished last season with the Clippers, the team chose to re-sign the point guard on a two-year deal in the offseason.
Westbrook joined the Clippers after the trade deadline, signing as a free agent after being waived by the Jazz. He played in 21 games for Los Angeles and averaged 15.8 points and 7.6 assists with the team.
Although it was uncertain whether the Clippers would want Westbrook back, former NBA point guard Gilbert Arenas said it was a top priority for the team—and especially for head coach Ty Lue.
“I talked to Ty Lue,” Arenas said.

DeChambeau displayed overwhelming emotion after his LIV Golf victory Sunday—his first win following the passing of his father.
Bryson DeChambeau blitzed the LIV Golf field at the Greenbrier’s White Course Sunday, firing a record-setting 58 to win the event by six strokes.
It marked his first victory since he won the U.S. Open at Winged Foot in September 2020.
New Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is in the midst of a rough stretch at training camp but coach Josh McDaniels says he has “no concerns” regarding his quarterback’s play as of right now. Garoppolo has thrown a grand total of seven interceptions in just the last two practices alone.
“We’ve also seen some very good throws,” McDaniels said, according to The Athletic’s Vic Tafur. “It’s a very competitive camp.”
Granted it’s just practice, but all eyes are on Garoppolo as both he and Las Vegas have a lot to prove in 2023.
