For a little over half an hour it looked like Napoli’s Scudetto might be delayed again. A win on Sunday against Salernitana would have secured the title but an 83rd-minute equalizer left Napoli needing a point from its final six games. At Udinese it fell behind after 13 minutes, but Victor Osimhen’s calm side-foot finish seven minutes into the second half secured the vital 1–1 draw. The ball with which he scored the decisive goal was immediately whisked from pitch and placed in a velvet bag.

The Washington Commanders — despite what many NFL Draft evaluators projected — opted to stray away from drafting a quarterback last weekend and all signs point to former UNC signal caller Sam Howell getting the first chance as the starter in 2023.
With the Kentucky Derby coming up this weekend, Tirico was a guest of the “Sports Junkies” on 106.7 The Fan in D.C. on Tuesday and talked about the Derby. Of course, talk turned to the area’s local NFL team — the Washington Commanders and their likely starting quarterback in particular.

A Carolina Hurricanes fan had one heck of a troll job ready to go for New Jersey Devils star Jack Hughes.
Although, they could use a bit of work on those Photoshopping skills.
Game 1 of the Canes-Devils series was in Raleigh. That meant Hughes and company would have to start the series on the road in enemy territory. While Hughes probably didn’t expect a warm welcome from the Hurricanes faithful at PNC Arena, he probably didn’t expect to see someone behind the bench holding a picture of his mom and Canes star Sebastian Aho,
But that’s exactly what was waiting for him.

Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic is helping the families that suffered from Wednesday’s tragic elementary school shooting in Belgrade (the capital of Serbia).
Doncic shared Thursday, via ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, that he will be covering funeral expenses for the families that lost a loved one in the harrowing scene. His contributions will also provide grief counseling to students members of the Belgrade school.

Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner made a lot of people feel old this week when he said he had no idea who Jessica Alba was.
The 22-year-old’s remarks even prompted the actress to respond on social media.
Gardner attended Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals between the Knicks and Heat Tuesday with his new quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Just before the game, Rodgers told the 22-year-old they were sitting by Alba, but Gardner had to tell Rodgers he did’t know who she was.
“He looked at me like I’m crazy,” Gardner said Wednesday of Rodgers’s reaction.

Former Pro Bowl punter Pat McAfee has become a sports media superstar since last playing in the NFL in 2016, most notably with his irreverent Pat McAfee Show. On Thursday, the typically-daft McAfee made a heartfelt announcement of the birth of his first child.
“Today’s a day that @MrsMcAfeeShow and I have been dreaming of.. I can’t wait to see where this foot gets to go beautiful girl,” McAfee wrote on Twitter. “WE LOVE YOU. Baby and Momma are both healthy. Momma and I are floating with joy. This is amazing. Thanks for all of the good vibes.
