Securing Bronny James gives Andy Enfield arguably the most talented roster he’s had with the Trojans, but it is a guard-heavy unit. How it plays out is the big question.

ESPN’s John Anderson apologized for a comment about Vegas Golden Knights player Zach Whitecloud.
Anderson was breaking down the Vegas Golden Knights crushing the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 Monday night when he chose to make a very unfortunate joke about Whitecloud, who is the first indigenous NHL player of Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.
“Zach Whitecloud? What kind of name is Whitecloud? Great name if you’re a brand of toilet paper. His first goal of the playoffs as well,” Anderson said Monday night while breaking down highlights of the game.
The Yankees left St. Petersburg on Sunday with a series loss to the Rays, but also a reason for optimism: Aaron Judge was on the plane.
Last season’s MVP has not played since April 27, a day after he strained his right hip trying to steal third base, but he said Monday that he will be activated off the injured list Tuesday. He spent the weekend rehabbing at the team’s facility in Tampa while his teammates played three one-run games against the Rays. When the Yankees returned to New York, so did Judge—and just in time.
“I don’t like sitting out,” Judge said.
ESPN’s John Anderson issued an apology Tuesday for an insensitive comment he made regarding Golden Knights defenseman Zach Whitecloud.
While speaking on SportsCenter and doing a play-by-play of Monday night’s highlights of the playoff game between the Golden Knights and Oilers, Anderson said, “What kind of name is Whitecloud? Great name if you’re a toilet paper,” when talking about the 26-year-old’s goal.
Whitecloud is of Indigenous descent and his family is from the Sioux Valley Dakota Nation, a reserve west of Manitoba, Canada.
There’s no worse feeling for a pitcher than making a perfect pitch and still giving up a hit. Astros starter Hunter Brown knows all about that.
In the third inning of Monday night’s game against the Angels, Brown had a 1–2 count on Shohei Ohtani and threw him an excellent backdoor curveball that barely caught the outside part of the strike zone. Ohtani, protecting the plate with two strikes, offered at the tough pitch.
He stuck his butt way out and extended his arms as far as they would go to reach the outside pitch. Baseball fans have seen swings like that plenty of times.
The tides are changing for the Chicago Blackhawks, and they are changing in a hurry after the team won the NHL Draft Lottery on Monday night. That news came with a massive spike in season-ticket sales.
Chicago came out on top in the lottery — or as it should’ve been called “The Connor Bedard Sweepstakes” — disappointing the Anaheim Ducks, who had the worst record in the league, but will pick second.
Denny Crum, the former hall of fame Louisville men’s basketball coach, has died at the age of 86, the school announced on Monday.
Crum spent 30 years coaching Louisville, leading the Cardinals to two NCAA championships in 1980 and ’86, making him one of 14 coaches with at least two titles. He finished his coaching career with a 675–295 record in 970 games, all of which are most in school history, and six Final Four appearances.

Jordan Poole’s struggles have turned into frustration for the entire team
Coming into the 2023 NBA Playoffs, there was reason to believe the Golden State Warriors were going to get the same Jordan Poole who was the breakout star of the 2022 playoffs.
Poole averaged 17 points per game on 39.1 shooting from three-point range, providing the Warriors with much-needed offense off the bench during their championship run.
The Pat McAfee Show may soon be getting a new home.
ESPN is reportedly the leading candidate to broadcast the show as host Pat McAfee contemplates backing out of his current contract with FanDuel, according to a Tuesday morning report from Andrew Marchand of The New York Post.
McAfee, 36, currently appears on ESPN’s College GameDay as a panelist. He started in that role in ’22 after appearing on the show as a contributor in ’19 and ’20. His flagship three-hour YouTube program, however, is contracted to FanDuel. The partnership, announced in Dec.
Klay Thompson’s questionable end-of-game shot selection had even Steve Kerr looking frustrated during Monday’s Game 4 loss to the Lakers.
Thompson did make one three in the fourth quarter, but missed a pair of deep, contested looks in the final three minutes of the game, helping the Lakers win Game 4 and take a 3–1 series lead over the Warriors. On one of those shots, a contested off-the-dribble three with 14 seconds on the shot clock in a one-point game with less than two minutes to play, Kerr bent backwards and threw his hands onto his head before the shot even got to the basket.
