Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu will remain in New York for the foreseeable future after reaching an agreement on a multi-year extension, the team announced Monday.
The new deal comes just four days before Ionescu, the No. 1 overall pick in 2020, begins her fourth WNBA season, where she’ll look to capitalize on a stellar 2022 campaign that netted her a first-time All-Star appearance.
“We couldn’t be more excited to announce Sabrina’s multi-year extension,” Liberty general manager Jonathan Kolb said in a statement.

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen is a monster on the football field and at the plate. Not many athletes can jump from sport to sport with ease, but the 6-foot-5 play-caller isn’t shy to showcase elite athleticism in any major American sport.
Football … baseball … golf, you name it.
On Monday, Allen appeared at Blue Jays batting practice ahead of Toronto’s series against the Yankees. Checking his swing just days after appearing at a charity softball game for the team’s Triple-A affiliate, Allen stepped back on the field to knock a few dingers over the Rogers Centre wall.

While it didn’t go the full seven games, the Western Conference semifinal series between the Lakers and Warriors managed to draw some jaw-dropping viewership numbers.
The matchup between Los Angeles and Golden State had plenty of appeal, with stars LeBron James and Stephen Curry battling it out for a conference finals berth. The series was broadcast on ESPN, TNT and ABC, and according to NBA Communications, it was the most-watched conference semifinals in nearly three decades.
With an average of 7.

The NBA unveiled on Monday the list of 14 team representatives set to appear on stage Tuesday for the anticipated 2023 NBA Draft lottery.
Since its inception in 1985, the draft lottery has featured a host of distinguished team reps who entered the night hoping to bring their team a little luck in the draw for the No. 1 overall pick. The 2023 draft centers around the futures of highly-touted French big man Victor Wembanyama and star NBA G League Ignite guard Scoot Henderson, the consensus top-two picks in this year’s class.

After winning their second Super Bowl in four years, the Chiefs are undoubtedly the “it” team in the NFL—and maybe all of North American sports.
According to CBS announcer Jim Nantz, Kansas City will be treated as such by the league’s broadcast partners this season—with the veteran broadcaster speculating he could call as many as nine Chiefs games this season with partner Tony Romo.
Nantz sketched out a potential schedule for Romo and him Friday on The Rich Eisen Show with the veteran NFL Network pundit.

By this point, given how routine he’s made the extraordinary, it should be pretty difficult for Shohei Ohtani to wow a crowd. But that didn’t stop him from doing the incredible on Monday night against the Orioles
Ohtani, who also served as the Angels’ starting pitcher, stepped to the plate in the top of the fifth inning and crushed a ball over all of the seats in right field, drawing stunned reactions from the Orioles’ home crowd and breaking a 4–4 tie to give himself the lead.

SHOHEI OHTANI. GONE 💥
