The Grizzlies have suspended point guard Ja Morant from all team activities after the All-Star guard was seen holding a gun on an Instagram Live video Saturday, the team announced.
“We are aware of the social media video involving Ja Morant,” the Grizzlies said in a statement. “He is suspended from all team activities pending league review. We have no further comment at this time.”
Morant served an eight-game suspension during the 2022-23 regular season after he posted a video on Instagram in which he flashed a gun at a Colorado night club in February.

It’s hard not to marvel at the majestic splendor of Atlanta Braves pitcher Spencer Strider. Maybe it’s the epic mustache. Maybe it’s the fact that he’s a strikeout machine.
But for Toronto Blue Jays broadcaster Buck Martinez, what’s most impressive are the tree trunks Strider calls legs.
“I mean look at these thighs on this kid,” Martinez said Friday. “He’s got huge thighs!”

Basketball Hall of Fame coach Phil Jackson got into hot water last month, explaining why he hasn’t watched the league regularly since 2020. At the time, the league put slogans on the back of players’ uniforms to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.
“They had things on their back like ‘Justice’ and a funny thing happened like, ‘Justice went to the basket and Equal Opportunity knocked him down.’ Some of my grandkids thought it was pretty funny to play up those names. I couldn’t watch that,” Jackson said on the Tetragrammaton podcast.

Richardson won the opening 100-meter Diamond League event in Doha just over a week ago.
