The Northwestern football program is engulfed by more chaos as dueling narratives are emerging amid hazing allegations.
The Wildcats initially suspended head coach Pat Fitzgerald for two weeks after a lengthy investigation into the program. Fitz claimed to have no knowledge of any hazing, and the suspension and other sanctions appeared to put an end to the situation.
However, everything changed when a new report the hazing activities were very sexual in nature. Northwestern president Michael Schill indicated Fitzgerald’s status could be re-evaluated.

UFC fighter Dan Hooker is an incredibly tough guy.
Hooker beat Jalin Turner at UFC 290 Saturday night, but didn’t leave the octagon unscathed. He broke his arm at some point during the fight, but didn’t bow out.
He kept fighting and earned a win. In fact, he referred to the injury as “just a scratch” during a post-fight interview with Joe Rogan.

Chris Paul spoke to reporters on Sunday during an introductory press conference following his trade to the Warriors.
Among the topics broached during his press conference was Paul’s role with the team. When one reporter appeared to assume that the veteran point guard would be coming off the bench in Golden State, Paul indicated he and head coach Steve Kerr have yet to discuss that possibility.
“You coaching?” Paul asked the reporter. “Well, I don’t know what the situation is going to be yet. I think that’ll be for us to figure out once we get going.

Brandon Miller has all the necessary assets to be an NBA star. Sunday’s NBA Summer League Game against the Lakers was anything but star-making. The Alabama standout, equal parts famous and infamous, had a dreadful performance against LA — one certainly worth forgetting.
Miller put up a goose egg from the three-point line (going 0-for-7) and 4-for-18 from the field. He contributed 10 points in the Charlotte Hornets’ 93-75 blowout loss.

Immediate reactions to the divisive No.

Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama turned in a much better showing during his second taste of NBA Summer League action. Despite a loss for San Antonio, the No. 1 pick dropped 27 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocks across 27 minutes on the floor.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Wembanyama admitted that he’s looking to lay low for most of the rest of the offseason after what’s been a hectic media-fueled month for the 19-year-old.

F1 favorite Martin Brundle got ignored by another Hollywood celebrity; this time, he had a clever comeback for the cold shoulder. During his walk around the grid at Sunday’s British Grand Prix, Brundle tried catching up with Cara Delevingne and received an awkward rejection.
“That’s the deal now; everybody talks on the grid,” Brundle told Delevingne as she tried weaving around the interviewer.
