After multiple NBA players went down with injuries during the first round of the playoffs, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban proposed an intriguing rule change.
During Sunday’s slate of postseason action, star players such as Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo and Grizzlies’ Ja Morant sustained injuries while absorbing contact during attempts at attacking the basket. 
In a response to an article from SI’s Chris Herring, Cuban proposed an adjustment to the NBA’s charging rule, which he believes would help reduce the rate of injuries in the league.

Clippers point guard Russell Westbrook was a key factor in the Game 1 win against the Suns on Sunday, despite a 3-for-19 shooting performance.
While he wasn’t getting his shot to fall, Westbrook impacted the game on various other levels, doing plenty of the dirty work for Los Angeles on the road in Phoenix.
The 34-year-old provided 10 rebounds in Sunday’s Game 1, five of which came on the offensive end.

Charles Barkley dropped an intriguing take about the Clippers ahead of their first-round playoff matchup against the Suns on Sunday. During a segment of TNT’s halftime show, Barkley claimed that he believed Los Angeles “wanted” to face Phoenix in the playoffs.
Barkley claimed that, this year, the play-in tournament would have been the easiest path for the Clippers to the Western Conference finals, since they could have avoided the Suns, who were undefeated with Kevin Durant until Sunday’s Game 1 defeat.

Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant ran off the court holding his right hand during Sunday’s Game 1 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, and though Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins said X-rays came back negative, the guard indicated his Game 2 status is “in jeopardy.
